One of the greatest game made from our time, if not ever, and my favourite so far, I can wholeheartedly claim that ELDEN RING is without a doubt a masterpiece. I've been a long standing Souls fan since DSIII and pumped tons of hours into it as well as DSI a bit after. ELDEN RING simply put is a brilliant twist of the Souls-like into an open world game and I'm all here for it.

For starters, ELDEN RING's graphics are for lack of better term out of this world, with breathtaking vistas and visuals that'll make you pause whatever you are doing to simply take in the view. This game has a massive map that keeps expending as you progress. It is filled with an abundance of secrets areas, strongholds, shortcuts, puzzles to solves & treasure to loot, paired with an overflowing environmental storytelling. Its story is intriguing yet nuanced, interesting yet vague, with a complex lore as you would find in a FROMSOFTWARE product. Bosses while some reutilized throughout the game are better than ever: Towering, imposing and challenging, they each have unique moveset as well as a couple of attacks and spells from previous Souls game. They also have their own backstories and their proper place in the universe. As for The Tarnised (the player), they now have at their disposal new mechanics to utilize like Spirit Bells to summon collectable spirits in certain boss/areas, a mount to better traverse the Lands Between, a dedicated jump button and more.

If you've been a long standing Souls fan like me, this game is simply put your new playground. You will sink a ton of hours into it, and like before will probably not regret it.

And if you've been wanting to try a Souls game for some time and are unfamiliar with the genre, get ELDEN RING, you will not regret it as well as it is probably the most beginner friendly from the catalogue you can find to date.

"Arise now, ye Tarnished. Ye dead, who yet live.
The call of long-lost grace speaks to us all."
