great software and all but my friend is working on their game and they keep on switching between their game and aseprite and every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time they do that steam gives me a notification that they started playing aseprite and it makes me want to jump off a bridge

the new updates are great and bring a lot more to the game, but now my friends always manage to activate the ghost 2 seconds after entering the building

This game is good. Like, really good. At first it just appears like any other farming game. You farm crops, raise animals, catch fish, go mining, etc. Just like Farmville and those other mobile games, except it's not pay-to-win and it doesn't suck, right? Wrong. It's so much more than that.

Probably the main thing that sets it apart from every other farming game is the social relationships. In this game, there's about 30 people that you can befriend and even marry, in some cases. Each one has their own story and cutscenes, as you progress into the friendship by giving them gifts. Each person has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to gifts as well, which vary from person to person. In addition, each person has a birthday. Giving someone a gift on their birthday will have a much bigger effect on your relationship. It's a really interesting feature that I can't get enough of. Also, I will literally die for Abigail. Just saying.

As for the actual farming part of the game, it does make it interesting by adding in seasons. There's all 4 seasons, each cycling through after 28 days, which go by fast. There are different crops that grow in different seasons, except for Winter. Screw Winter, nothing grows in Winter. It adds a bit of strategy to the game, as different seasons are better for things than other seasons. For example, while Winter is the worst season for crops, it's the best season to upgrade your watering can, as you don't need it anymore. (It still sucks, though.) All your crops will die from season to season, except for wheat and corn moving from Summer to Fall, as they both grow in both seasons. Everything else will die after those 28 days of whatever season, though, so you really have to pay attention to how long things take to grow and how close the next season is.

There's actually a lot of other features in this game, and it would take a while to describe each in detail, so I'll just list the other features.

-Mining: There's 2 mines, one with a bunch of floors and one that's just super long. There's also combat in these mines, with a bunch of mobs to kill. There's actually a lot of useful things in the mines, but the most useful thing is iridium ore. It's used to make the best tools in the game.

-Fishing: After taking to the local fisherman for the first time, you get a fishing rod and can fish. There's 3 places to fish, which all have different fish: lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Some fish have certain times and seasons in which they can be caught, and some fish can only be caught in certain lakes and weather conditions. You can also upgrade your rod, which gives you the ability to use bait and add tackles onto your rod, which give you some advantages when catching fish.

-Animals: You can take care of animals in this game. You probably already knew that, but I said it anyway. There's many different animals to take care of, such as cows, chickens, goats, ducks, etc. And every single one of them is adorable. Especially the chickens. They just look so cute. They need hay to eat, or you could just let them free and let them eat the grass. But, if you keep them inside, or they don't go outside because it's raining or it's Winter, (Screw Winter. Did I mention I hate Winter?) then make sure to put the hay out for them to eat. They can't eat it straight from the silo, apparently. Don't make the same mistakes I have. If they're taken care for, they produce things. Chickens and ducks produce eggs, cows and goats produces milk, etc. It's pretty predictable, for the most part.

-Foraging: You can go around and get random wild berries and stuff. There's different stuff just lying around for each season, but if you don't just want to gather natural things, you can always look inside people's trash cans. That sounds gross, but there can be some good stuff in there. Just don't let anyone see you do it.

-Festivals: Every year, different seasons have different festivals. These things usually last all day, so you won't get much done during the day. There's an egg hunt in Spring, a Halloween maze in Fall, and a Christmas event in Winter. There's more, but I don't want to spoil too much of the game. I'm just going over what you can do.

There's much more to the game, but those are the main features of the game. Again, it's not like any other farming game. It's so much better. At the moment, it's my favourite game, which is saying a lot, as I'm usually very indecisive about my favourite game. Why are you even still reading this review? Get the game already!

Well, I'm not gonna lie, it's annoying when you play someone who bought weapons. But most of the time, just stay away from "pro" matches and you should be good. It's a pretty good game, made better at the fact it's free to play.
