Worth it BUT ONLY if you haven't played many Far Cry games before.

A solid, enjoyable experience to complete in 1 or 2 sittings.

I played it through. Thoroughly.
(the save is 3d 9h)
The game is pretty good as a whole package but it's apparent that Bethesda has hit a rock wall with the style of the game.

The fast traveling into orbit and from there simply breaks the entire point of the so called 'space exploring'.

IT'S TIME FOR BETHESDA TO HIRE SOME ACTUAL WRITERS.
The design of Bethesda's stories has always been simplicity, but it's time to really step away from that lazy childish writing. Big open world RPGs can have good stories. Wither 3, Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3: It's possible and honestly any of them are vastly more enjoyable to play.
There were many times where I genuinely got excited for a quest because the premise of the quest sounded so cool. And they managed to waste those opportunities literally every SINGLE time.
A few examples for those who have played the game through:
Bad terrormorphs might kill everybody... (I get excited) Let's just go to a planet, collect some samples and done we are. (I feel cheated)
Mathis has a plan to kill Delgado. (Oh my, it's getting interesting) Nevermind, we can't. (bruh)
We need to access the secret Terrormorph files, let's talk to Freestar Collective and House Va'Ruun! (OMG THIS IS GOING TO BE SO INTERESTING, HOUSE VA'RUUN IS SO MYSTERIOUS I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET THEM) All their buildings are in New Atlantis go there and do 2 speech checks and done. (How can you mess this up so bad??)
Were are entering the Unity, what might it have inside??? (The buildup is so long and you get excited to see what's there) Just walk forward or back. (So continue the game or New Game+, really)

Constant loading screens.
The graphics to my eye are actually still fine. At points the game still looks very good imo (obviously not as good as other big open world RPGs like Cyberpunk for example, but still). The problem is that Bethesda still somehow hasn't found a way to get rid of loading screens. Come on. We've had loading screen free open world games since like 2015. The fact that a company of this size still hasn't figured it out 8 years down the line honestly baffles me.

Shooting feels good.

Also must we talk about the 'planet exploration'.
I do understand that it doesn't have to appeal to everybody, and that there are people who enjoy exploring those empty landscapes. But at least give us a land vehicle. The fact that they got it so wrong is honestly weird. They simply turned their back on their biggest strength: Engaging living open-worlds. We don't play Fallout 4 for the story, the story is garbage. We play it for the good open world that actually excites us.
So it's quite weird that they went towards the route of just making a 1000 procedurally generated planets and expect for most of the players to have fun just running for thousands of meters without anything interesting going on, looking down and seeing the stamina deplete, again and again.

And one of the worst things is that there are still many quests that just BREAK. And in the span of almost 4 months Bethesda still hasn't fixed them, which is honestly just unbelievable.

Still as a whole package I still feel that Starfield is worth it, it has some nice lore and a few good quests like First Contact (which doesn't make a lot of sense but OK), Unearthed, and lastly Entangled (probably the best quest that I'd say has actually good writing, if every quest was this good I'd forgive everything the game has done wrong, but, we'll it's the only quest of its kind).

I hope that Bethesda can turn this around and achieve the same success like Cyberpunk 2077 did post-launch. I hope that the DLC has better writing (probably won't) and is very good. Hopefully they fix the bugs and improve the performance.
Hopefully they do those things and I'm sure people will actually start liking the game again.

Extremely lazy story story (what happened to choices in an RPG??).
Bad gameplay.
Was already outdated in 2016.

A very interesting game.
It feels more like an experimental indie than a fully fledged AAA (like Metro), but if you know what you're getting into then this game will be a fun treat.
The story at times feels like it's written by a 10 year old but it's fine.
The ending and the way the game handles choices is very unique and I think that every survival horror lover (or a lover of Metro or Stalker series) would find something interesting in this game.
I myself wouldn't buy it at full price but definitely would recommend on a sale.

Everything's cool. Xen was a too long and got annoying. They probably shouldn't have cut some areas in Black Mesa instead of having a short Xen.
