SteamWorld Dig was one of my favorite games for the year it came out. SteamWorld Heist was a completely different experience, but one I loved and put a LOT of hours into. So I came into SteamWorld Dig 2 with excitement and caution. How could it build upon two great games that preceded it? Well some how they pulled it off. This is SteamWorld Dig refined and near perfected. The level design, fight mechanics, upgrade options, the story....it's all considerably improved, which is impressive given how well put together Dig 1 was. And without spoiling anything, the ending itself goes in a fascinating direction well shrouded by Image & Form.

If you enjoyed SteamWorld Dig 1, you absolutely owe it to yourself to play this fantastic sequel.
