If you haven't been keeping an eye Turbo Sliders, you should be. It's been in the works for a long time now but it's coming out of EA very, very soon. It's highly polished, looks and plays super smooth, and features easy-to-use level editor & player campaigns. It's awesome.

Turbo Sliders is a delightful spiritual successor to games like Micro Machines that I loved in the 90s but with sexy modern graphics. Controls are perfect, levels are well-designed and challenging.

I grew up with pinball machines - the real ones but also Epic Pinball and Space Cadet, absolute legends in their time. And now I'm having a blast with FlipScapes. FlipScapes is a brilliant new pinball game that absolutely makes the most of its digital nature with highly interactive levels, dynamic objectives, characters and special abilities. It's top notch.

The controls take a bit of getting used to (right stick controls a cursor, not the arm directly), as does the combat (you need to fling things at the enemy - or fling the enemy at things - while dodging bullets and charge attacks) but Grimstone Valley is fun.

Grimstone Valley is a fun little twinstick "shooter" (except you have an eldritch lasso arm) with a weird west theme, some unusual aesthetics which I've grown to love, and a surprisingly strong story.

Fresh out of the oven! New twinstick shooter, Hadley's Run! The environmental challenges (defence weapons, asteroid showers, EM fields) are the game's best feature. Has excellent progression and meta-progression so it never feels tired. Good range of bosses and enemies and there's even a nice little story to tie it all together.

This review took me a long time to work through (it's big! And relatively complex) - new Vacation Season DLC adds almost a whole new game-within-a-game to Highrise City.

100 Hidden Cthulhu Fish is a short but sweet item finder. The fish are easy to find, making for a chill experience. The two overarching images are fantastic but I'd love more - beat the game in 10mins.

JDM: Rise of the Scorpion is has a nice little story told through a manga but the real star is the drifting. It's an arcade racer (not a racing sim) so just strap in and have fun - handbrake to drift!

While Silent Depth 2 is a fairly clunky experience with small scope at the moment, the roadmap looks promising. This is a sim-lite, not a spiritual successor to Silent Hunter. Go in with an open mind.

DeathBound's a clever fighter with a gnarly modern fantasy vibe and tons of demons ripe for slaying. You control a bunch of characters with totally different attacks/abilities, it's challenging & fun.

The devs have posted new release DeathBound as a Souls-like. I have no idea how true that is because I was never able to bring myself to like Dark Souls. But DeathBound's a lot of fun.

If you're into your Where's Wallys, Headless Chicken Games presents a fun new item finder. Love the pixel graphics, love the puzzles. A touch more variety would have been nice but there's still plenty of replayability. You get stars for beating time too but I found it a tad easy. Chill game.

Baimason's Thing Finder's as relaxing as it is fun - or race against the clock. Proc-gen and daily challenges keep it endlessly replayable although it could use just a touch more variety.
