the entire gameplay loop consists of opening loot boxes.. you level through lootboxes.. you do quests to open lootboxes.. there is no actual progression outside of that

the invasive anticheat blocks ton of stuff that it shouldnt like OBS or ShareX. Its a shame because this game would be perfect to play on a steamdeck but the unnecessary inclusion of a kernel level anticheat probably means this wont be possible too.

the gameplay itself is moderately fun but i expected more stuff to be ironed out with the release coming from the playtest.

the map has a ton of gaps in geometry and even still dev texture placeholders in some places.
skating collision seems to have some problems that tbf gotten less compared to a year ago but its sill problematic.

I’d place this one between 2016 and Eternal. Gameplay is very fun and I’m invested into the lore :D

I’m not a fan of the forced ray tracing. Considering the performance hit and how little it adds visually compared to Eternal, it really should’ve been optional.

Performance overall is fine, and I’m actually surprised by how little ghosting there is compared to other modern titles and how well reflex has been implemented.
My preferred way to play is still with a few tweaks:
r_antialiasing 0
r_raytracedReflections 0
r_raytracedReflectionsTemporalUpscaleQuality 0
g_fov 140

looks alright when you stand still, not a big fan of the ghosting, blurriness and the lighting that makes everything look like plastic/clay

these new assets would look amazing in a non rtx mod with recompiled high res lightmaps
