Intruder is in a peculiar spot.

It has a wonderful concepts and ideas, however there is a large disconnect between information, communication, and progress in terms of development and updates. I really do enjoy this game (if my hours didn't say that otherwise), but is it undeniable that the game is in a relatively unpolished state in multiple crucial aspects. Updates/"Stuff" do happen, but from the average player perspective who isn't in the discord, isn't involved in beta testing that happens on occasion, or doesn't spends a regular amount of time with people who work on the game in some capacity, is basically playing a game of faith and their own personal interests to remain involved with the game/community until something new comes out of nowhere. Hell, even I meet those 3 "requirements", and i'm still left in the dark in the grand scheme.

This game basically lives on its community, which for most part is quite chill. Unfortunately, similar to the game experience, it is also isn't perfect. Harassment, discrimination, the usual online toxicity whatnot do occur. And while this is expected in any online sphere, it certainly leaves a poor taste in a players mouth when they can encounter these insufferable types on semi-regular basis in a relatively small community space.

I want to and currently try to trust the developer, community managers, and so on for the future of this game, but I cant exactly say its the easiest thing to do. I do want to see this game/community thrive, and I'd hate to have to switch to a negative review in the long run.

So give it a try. Join the Discord. Intrude. I hope you like it enough to stick around despite its faults.
(the tutorial is really bad, by the way. :3)
