Apparently this game is not only full of modders, you can also get suspended for 30 days and character wiped for not modding.

Edit: Well, got unsuspended and character restored after about a week, but when you get suspended unfairly, you find yourself against a brick wall at their support.

Mil-sim, but be wary of rocks!

Fun game, very arcady (you start withy 200-300 missiles on each mission), especially considering you pretty much can't go without the make-special-move-to-tail-a-bogey mechanic.
That mechanic in itself is what turns me down the most in this game. Or rather, how forced you are into using it often as it's pretty much impossible to kill some enemies without it.

Story line is not really that much worth, standard evil Russians, good guy NATO pretty much.

It's not that difficult, at least on the lower difficulty settings. Just gets a bit repetitive after a while.

If anything, this game is made for casual players.

Great series, reminded me of the old Sudden Strike games.

Assault squad 2 is pretty similar to the older Men of Wars, but requires a tad less micromanagement for resupplying your units.

Nice tower defense-ish game. Basically you have to control the flow of Orcs in such a way that you manage to kill them all (either with traps or by yourself).

I think it is quite a good game. Also you can get it cheap enough as it currently is in the Humble (Jumbo) Bundle.

Heard good things about it's sequel, but I would strongly advise against buying this one. I bought this real cheap, but I still have to say it was a waste of money.

Gameplay in itself might not be bad, nor the graphics considerings it's age (the best bet to find an enemy is actually tracing back where the bullets come from, as people tend to be really hard to spot for some reason), but controls are just really really sloppy. The one thing that comes to mind when having to control your character is syrup. Figure that would give an idea.

Some people I know like it though, but I can't really see why.

So my advice: even for a real bargain, leave this one in the shelf and spend your money on anything else (possibly Just Cause 2).

Probably the worst game on Steam I ever played. Really crappy controls, and I tried even both with keyboard/mouse and controller!

Really great game. Was the reason I started using Steam. Considering it's very easy to get a key now, there's no excuse for not having this one!
