Beautifully Serene & Tranquil Action Game

Although Ghost Of Tsushima follow the same open-world formula as other open-world games; what makes it stand out from the rest is its intricate combat and most enchantingly lively environment out there that truly shines by throwing away the classical open-world UI elements and instead incorporating them as actual gameplay mechanics that guide the player through the world in a seamlessly immersive way.

The nature feels so alive and despite the island of Tsushima being destroyed by the horror and desolation of war, the overall journey is a beautifully serene and tranquil experience with a ton of soul poured into making it immersive as it can be.

Overall it's a very beautifully well made game with fantastic combat, traversal, exploration and gameplay mechanics. Not to mention the PC port is pretty great.

An RPG Masterpiece

Baldur's Gate 3 is what happens when a company of true gamers decides to make games in their purest form, as art. It is an incredibly expansive and vast RPG experience that brings back memories of a golden age of gaming, a time when games were massive, intriguing and felt like every inch within them had a mystery to uncover.

The type of true games which are so masterfully crafted that even those who may not enjoy turn-based RPGs could become captivated by them. Hats off to Larian as there was never any doubt that the creators of the Divinity Original Sin series would create another masterpiece.

Lae'zel approves!

Be formless... shapeless... like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee

Every now and then a real golden gem of an indie game comes out that is so fantastically well made that it brings so much needed fresh air in an ocean of bland copy-cat AAA titles from so many major studios that are afraid to do anything new and unique.

Sifu is simply put... wonderful and unique. A beautifully artistic and meaningfully poetic martial arts game whose goal is to mentor the player through failure in order for them to improve and become better 'till one flows like water, in an incredibly fluid and responsive combat system that feels overwhelmingly complex at the beginning, but quickly becomes an effortlessly enjoyable Kung-Fu dance of flawless perfection.

This is WUDE.

Despite some questionable design flaws and glitches, it's a pretty amazing and enjoyable Avengers game that is incredibly faithful to the authenticity of its characters.

For 6€$ it is an absolute steal.

This is the type of game that clearly had a lot of passion poured into its story and especially its characters, as they are so phenomenally and authentically well made... but unfortunately the corporate overlords ruined all that quality-hard work by forcibly going for the live-service monetization model.

The game getting delisted from the stores is honestly the best thing that happened to it because now that the marketplace got completely removed and all of the micro/macro-transactions are available to everyone for free, it is the best and only authentic Avengers game despite some of its past and current flaws from the live-service remnants that once existed. Had the game launched in this state instead, it would have been an incredibly impressive game at the time that would have gotten so much better and fulfilling as a whole.

The story is fantastic and the gameplay is incredibly smooth and fun. Take any Avenger and you'll notice just how incredibly fleshed out their gameplay is that for every single one of them them this could be their very own game. But despite how great a lot of the aspects in the game are, there is no denying it could have been drastically so much better had they taken it into a proper direction like the Batman Arkham series or Marvel's Spider-Man.

What the game truly has going for it and the primary reason why anyone would want to buy it is the fact that it is the only Avengers game out there ever made, which manages to provide an authentic feel of playing an Avenger, as no other Marvel game features any of the heroes here properly and has such incredibly smooth gameplay for all of them. Like fluidly kicking shields into enemies as Captain America or fighting on the ground as Iron Man and then taking off straight into the sky or creating thunderstorms as Thor and Mighty Thor.

Anyone who loves the MCU movies will immediately notice that majority of combat mechanics and animations are directly inspired by the movies. Equip the MCU skins and you pretty much have the MCU Avengers game that is incredibly solid and immersive, placed somewhere between Age Of Ultron and The Civil War.

So if you're a Marvel fan or especially an MCU fan looking to roleplay as if it's an MCU game and cannot decide whether you want to get the game or not, keep in mind that this is the only Avengers game that ever came out and probably will be for a long long time. For a mere price of two coffees, it's absolutely worth obtaining before the game is thrown away into the digital abyss forever... like all the older Spider-man games too.

Avengers... assemble!

"The things we do for love..."

There are games. And then there are works of art. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice definitely falls into the latter.

It's an incredibly unique work of art, oozing with vast amounts of quality. Phenomenal voice acting, rich story, deep atmosphere, lots of poetic meanings and immersion around every corner, with a really awesome and memorable soundtrack too... all of which is carefully enveloped in a narrowly focused cinematic experience to portray what it's like to live with psychosis.

What I love most about it, other than how wonderfully everything was crafted around psychosis, is the whole cinematic experience of Senua's journey. It's a very pure game in itself. Absolutely no UI elements whatsoever. Everything is beautifully portrayed on the screen for the player where the gameplay serves the story and the cinematic experience, while the combat is incredibly fun despite being simple.

Games like these are what elevate gaming as art. Quite happy to have played it and a special thanks to the backseat ladies within Senua's head, they were super fun to listen to!

INCOMING CALL...

Hey there choomba, do you want to be an input or an output in Night City?

Got a preem gig so listen up. There's this scroll that needs kleppin' from the corpos by the name of "Cyberpunk 2077". There'll be plenty of scratch in it for ya if all goes well, so be sure to grab some iron and chip in... don't want you to flatline in this biz without some serious chrome. Left you some eddies to begin with.

Grab the shard, jack in and we will be nova, maybe even be hittin' the major leagues. Or... we might both end up as gonks on the streets with nothin' but joytoys to keep us company.

Scop... gotta delta. Sendin' you the encrypted detes.

Hasta luego choomba and remember... major leagues! Ha!

It's amazing!

Everything about Marvel's Spider-Man is cinematic. The visuals, the traversal, the combat, the animations, the cutscenes... it is consistently amazing from start to finish and because of this excels so much over the other Spider-Man games.

Is it the ultimate Spider-Man game one could wish for? There's plenty of room for improvements as certain elements feel a tiny bit lackluster and unpolished when compared to other Spidey games, most notably lack of verticality and wall crawling not being fluid. But despite a few shortcomings it honestly is the best and most cinematic Spider-Man game out there currently as it truly and superbly captures that Spider-Man feeling.

Not to mention it is the last time we will see Stan Lee make a cameo in a videogame and the game pays a beautiful tribute to him as a final goodbye.

So all in all for a first game in the series, it is an impressive feat of work what Insomniac has accomplished and it is clear that they really care about the character. I hope the sequel continues to innovate and improve on all aspects, especially verticality.

P.S. - The game should have had Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 outfit. His suit goes perfectly with Spidey's personality and animations in this game.

Made me cry again... nine years later.

Nine years have passed since I last played "Beyond: Two Souls" back in October 2013, not knowing what an outstandingly beautiful, touching and overwhelmingly emotional story I was about to witness.

At the time due to the beautifully captivating performances of Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, the story of Jodie Holmes emotionally overwhelmed me so much that for the first time ever... a game made me cry. Ended up crying my heart out for the whole rest of the day after finishing the story and spent the whole week lost in a vortex of overwhelming emotions spiraling down in an ocean of thoughts.

Despite deeply and intensely feeling emotions during games and movies because I fully immerse myself with the art form, I never got to the point where I felt like crying by playing or watching something. Beyond: Two Souls however is something truly uniquely special. Till this day still remains the only piece of art that shattered my emotional barriers into a million fragments and ended up pushing me into the beyond.

Nine years have passed since then and eventually Beyond: Two Souls came onto Steam. I only ever played it once because the emotional weight was too much to bear after I finished it, but the memory of Jodie Holmes, her story and the emotional impact it had on me quite vividly remained all these years. This time I wanted to achieve what I failed back then; to fully experience all paths of the story and complete all achievements. I thought I could do it without feeling emotionally impacted as I was back in 2013, but... I was wrong.

I'm writing this review and crying while doing it. Years have not made it any easier to experience the beautiful and touching story of Jodie Holmes again as I tremendously love this story and its characters. But despite how emotionally overwhelming it was to experience once again, I finally achieved what I failed in 2013... 100% completion. I love this game to death and I am forever thankful for it existing.
