This game is a lot of fun and has a sort of "at your own pace" play-style". You gather resources while on or near your train and build different workstations or upgrades for your train. There are enemies to fight with various weaponry which also has a variety of weapon customization. I appreciate that this game has a voiced narrator instead of a follow along journal that some other games do. I have not gotten into customizing my train yet, but it seems to have functionality to some of the items. The story is pretty interesting so far and I look forward to playing this with friends. I paid $20.99 for this and I would probably pay more now that I know how enjoyable my experience has been.

This fun little game reminds me of the overlord games for xbox 360. Simple mechanics where you gather minions and attack enemies. The more dead on the ground, the bigger your army can become. 10 hours for me to fully complete and there is a mode to replay. Great Game.

ASTRONEER is a unique game, unlike any other crafting survival games i have played before. It is still missing some end game items but getting to that point is the most fun you will have in the game. You can play the game messy or neat, and by that i mean when you are collecting resources and research materials you can either throw them casually on the ground in a pile or research and craft the modular storage to organize your base. The terra-forming aspect of the game is extremely fun. You basically have a vacuum that you use to extract resources from the ground and in doing so allows you to go deeper into the planets core. More advanced resources and research material are at the bottom. Myself and a friend used different modules for the extractor tool to create roads on which to drive the vehicles deeper into the core instead of walking back and forth with hand loads. The only thing that makes this a survival game rather than a true sandbox is that you have to monitor your oxygen level, which can be easily done in early stages of the game, but can become troublesome late game while exploring a planets core. Other ways to die include poisons, fall damage, explosions and enemies. This game is great to explore with a friend and I would Highly recommend this game as one of the better crafting survival games out there for the price.

This game has a suprisingly large amount of content and playability compared to other similar games. I played osiris: New dawn with a friend and maxed out everthing in 8 hours of play. I think i'm almost on hour 30 and am still finding plenty of stuff to do. I have not jumped into the pvp aspect yet, but the pve play is a lot of fun (and quite challenging if you dont plan out your raids). If you can get past the graphics not being as good as some other titles you will enjoy this game. It is definitely worth the $20 I paid for it.

Soundtrack is awesome, main game should include some story missions like the first game had. More wide open maps would be a nice addition as well. Some perks could use more weapons to choose from like the medic perk. Definetly get the extras for the soundtrack.

I put 8 hours into the game to give it a shot and I have enjoyed most of it. I usually don't play single player survival games unless there is a upcoming update for multiplayer/coop. Initial impressions of the game are that it is either missing quite a bit of content or it is awaiting content. So far I have enjoyed my time in the game and look forward to the addition of future content/multiplayer modes. For the money this game is in my opinion worth it. If you are looking for a more developed survival game I would suggest rust (for those that want pvp action) or Ark: Survival Evolved (if you are looking for lots of content). If you are going to pick up this game, I would suggest reading the guide written by b4rt, it has good tips on starting and making your experience more enjoyable as opposed to the trial and failure I went through.
