I have no idea why that would be the cause of that unless Bethesda's budget went more into buying awards and not actually developing a satisfying RPG with any depth or quality assurance.

Back around November 11, 2011, I played this game for an hour or two and immediately hated everything about it.
14 years later, for some reason, I picked it back and played it to completion on the Steam Deck and boy I wish I didn't.

The only "Role" you are playing in this RPG is the mind numbingly dull protagonist that collects accolades for participating in the linear fairground ride experience that is the quest lines, no real consequences for fighting a whole war and saving the world. You can do everything and it feels like you've accomplished nothing, everyone just struts around repeating lines like a soulless animatronic even when you've completed whatever they wanted you to do.

Really the only thing that makes a slight difference is murdering people, oh, unless they're part of the super important quest lines that you just have to complete, Thieves Guild in Riften being controlled by a corrupt family of elites that's poisoning the Jarl's ear??? Nope can't fix that, no no, how about joining the Thieves Guild instead please join the Thieves Guild I've scattered 24 Unusual Gems that you can just take amongst all the other items, it doesn't count as stealing for some reason. Don't want to? fine, they are stuck in your inventory until you do. Could of made them unsellable items because you stole them or just not make quest lines so incredible precious and let the player decide what they want to do.

But no, it's boring, poorly written and poorly designed.

Just like the dungeons, if they aren't just a straight line with a secret exit they are horse shoe shaped with a secret door leading back to the exit. These killer designs are then copy and pasted over and over and over and over with the occasional terrible puzzle thrown in there for variety.

In conclusion, this game was never good.

Bethesda was never really that great at making games, they just got worse and worse at it over time.

I look forward to not buying The Elder Scrolls VI when it comes out in 20XX.

This game is really, really good!
Well worth your time and money.

I both really love this and absolutely hate this.

So, Chapter 9 has one of my absolute least favourite enemy types.

The enemy that locks onto your location and never let's go.
They where cheap in Binding of Isaac and they are even cheaper now cause you can't do jack to defend yourself.

I can finally give this game a good review now that they fixed the music issue when loading to the next map.

10/10, Great game.

I like the game, the mall setting and the way you capture the anomalies.

But it feels a lot of these anomalies are too mundane to be fun to find.
Like really, really small details on posters.

Tries to be scary but everything comes off as really, really annoying.

This would be a fun game if the fighting system wasn't 100% pure mangled garbage.

Both on land and sea.

Incredibly cheap but bland FPS.

You get what you pay for.

Really nothing to note except every time I pick up ammo or health it flash bangs me with a blinding white light,

Pick up multiple items in a row and it feels like it's trying to induce epilepsy.

And the ending is really, really lame.

I can't find what I found in the demo of this game.
Something happened to this game from the time of the demo and it's release.

And I don't like it.
