Early Access Review
Early note: Just got the game, and v12 works for me (one of the fortunate lad)

I can't give any in depth review of the game yet since i'm new and still trying to figure out things but from a few hours of gameplay i had, here's what i can tell you about.

The game is good. It really focus on teamplay and 'forced' you to work together and punish you for not doing it. It require a good active communication with other player. The gameplay it self is very slow paced. You can't always engaged all the time like in BF or COD. If you can't bear walking around for minutes just to be able to get in a good position without getting noticed or you don't have a mic or don't like slow paced 'walking simulator' then my suggestion is just stay away from this game because you will hate it for that reason.

If you are ok with all the thing i stated above, i think you'll enjoy the game as i do. But please note, some people have been complaining about how poor the game run. Just in case you haven't done your research, it's because of the V.12 update. People say they don't have these problems in v.11. So i'd say you have nothing to worry about in terms of optimization. It will prob be fixed in the near future and i think i could say i'm pretty sure with that.

Re-Review

TL;DR ver:

Game has improved since it released with less bug, and of course more content (DLCs) with also Mod Support on the way. The game story is pretty interesting, the map design and everything in this game felt authentic with the medieval theme the game have going on and definitely immersive. There are some feature that i dislike for QoL sake like you can't save just anywhere using the menu and there's no bow dot reticle when using bow, etc but some mods fixed it and it doesn't disable achievement or anything so there's that. Combat might not be for everyone that's into arcade-y combat like in mordhau but it felt pretty authentic and quite fun once you get the hang of it (in depth info in full review below) Overall, i'd rate the game 9.5/10. It's everything i ever wanted.

Full In-depth Review:

If you are like me, you'd want to read some in depth review of a game you wanna buy before buying and actually see what to expect in the game. I'll help you with that and divide this in some sections to make it easier. Note: i already played the game 2 times now with the first is full vanilla experience and second play through with mods and added challenge (on going)

First, let me say that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a medieval RPG game set in a real historical setting, with the aim of bringing you one of the most authentic experience that capture the time and place setting well; which is medieval Bohemia.

Combat:

Probably one of the most common subject you'd find in the game's reviews, especially the negative one. The combat in this game is rather unique. I used to think that why the combat in this game is so clunky and bad. Why doesn't it try to learn a thing or two from games like Warband, or Mordhau for example, or pretty much every other game. But now i finally realized the reason why and thus make me appreciate it. The combat is designed in a way that it felt authentic with medieval melee play.

Maybe in other game, you can swing around your sword like a lunatic, do 360 ballerina move, and spam the same basic attack over and over and basically making your own combo or moveset. But not with this game. It try to bring you an authentic real life sword fighting technique where you can't just wack around your sword in ridiculous way and combos are more fluid than just a chain of basic attack. With that said, it make sense that some combo or move is bind to a certain move set so that the we can see the fluidness of advanced medieval combat technique and not an arcade typical one we used to see in games.

Now lets talk about the combat, gameplay wise. Now that i got the hang of the combat, i could tell you what you can expect from the combat system and how to do it 'effectively'. The combat is heavily revolved around what we call as "Perfect Block". It's when you manage to block enemy attack by hitting the block button right slightly before or after the enemy gonna attack. You can also see this green shield icon that indicate the time when the perfect block could be done. The higher your character skill is in defense, the more likely you will perform what we called as "Master Strike". Master Strike is an automated counter attack perform against the enemy attack. These attacks is not just a simple attack. You can't block it, it's very damaging and will drain stamina fast.

So as you can see, the combat revolved around this mechanic. Against a more lightly armored and lowly skilled enemy you can just do attack or combo without a problem because they are NOT likely to do perfect block. BUT against a highly armored and skilled one, the more likely they do perfect block and thus also performing this Master Strike. I find it the best way to win a fight is to be patient and wait for the enemy to slip up. You can taunt the enemy by doing some small attacks but you should not be too aggressive against skilled enemy and waste your stamina. You should instead try to get as many perfect block as possible so you will perform master strike, and then you can following it with chain basic attack or combo. The key here is to NOT let the enemy recharge their stamina and know when to be defensive and when to be aggressive.

Stamina is very important in combat. If you don't have any, you can't perform normal block, you will most likely staggered during a combo and you can get way more damage to HP. With this said, i hope that you as the reader would know what to expect from the combat system.

Graphics

Visually, the game looks beautiful most of the time, especially with some graphical tweak and all. The game also manage to capture the time and setting theme rather well. It's very immersive, felt authentic and considering this is an indie game, it's amazing. There's quite a lot of things you can customize of your load out with quite an in depth slots for different outfit parts and option.

Gameplay

Gameplay in general is pretty solid. You can pretty much play the game however you wanted it. There's almost always multiple ways to complete a quest depends on your choice or action that you can choose that fit with your character preference. Prefer a direct, brute way to finish a quest? Sure thing. Want a more stealthy sneaky way? You got it. Want to smooth talk your way out? Will do.

The game by default does have some annoying QoL feature that add / enhance the experience, some might say. like the fact you can only save on beds, exit, or using a certain beverage or how there's no reticle while aiming with arrow. but if you dislike these, you can use a simple mod or two to change this.

As for progression, the game have a rather unique way of progression i'd say. Your character is a blacksmith's son who never held a sword before, immature, and basically not the ideal main character at the start. But as you play the game and progress, you will see a real progression with your character skill on said skill area. Example, at the start, you character barely able to held a sword and even fighting a single no armored bandit is very challenging. But the more you leveled up your combat skill by actually do combats, train with a certain NPC over and over (literally go train with NPC and do combat with them) your character would be better at handling enemy and do more damage rather easily. Or if you talk with people a lot and do a lot of dialogues your character will slowly leveled up in his speech skill.

It take me around 60+ ish hour doing main quest and a few side quest with no DLC the first time around so in terms of content, the game has plenty and most of them are very fun to do, especially if you care about story and character chemistry.

Story

Story is pretty interesting and character chemistry and development is quite good, that you will care for some character most likely. Some side quest also do offer a good story and its not always a simple fetch me that and bring it there kind of quest. Dialogue and actions does affect the story in a way but not how it all tied up at the end. More like a short termed branching option. Altho some dialogues is very very cheesy or sometimes could make less sense than it should if you do a quest in a certain way but it doesn't bother me too much.

Additional Content

The game does have several DLCs you can pick and one or two is free / included in game already and i'd say they are quite good. They each offer some worthwhile story or content event tho it can be dissapointing sometimes cause of how short it seems to be. Def get them at least on sale i'd say.

Optimization

Sadly, this is one of the downside of the game. It's quite unoptimized with texture popping being a common occurance and fps won't go that high no matter what setting you are on unless you have an absolute beast of a rig. Wouldn't recommend if you barely meet the minimum of the game req.

There you have it. This is my re-review of the game, and i hope this review help you.

Game Review + Feedback for The Dev

Conclusion: I love the game! 8/10 at it current state

Ok so i've tried the game for a couple hours, have tried to play Singleplayer and Multiplayer and overal i enjoy playing the game. But there's some issue here and there that i think might need some fixing so that the game could be even better.

+ Bugs
Of course it's an early access game, bug is still tolaratable as long as overall the game is still playable. So far i've encounter some bugs and i will list it here.
:: Bug when trying to join as CEO in the lobby. If i click the "CEO" more than once most likely the game will bugged out and the server list gone completly
:: Bug during gameplay where my friend for some reasn can make more than 1 robo factory while i can make more than 1 fighter bay (i forgot the building name lol)
:: Bug during gameplay (in the station design menu where i can put a good factory in the middle of nowhere but it still work, causing some robot that is ordered there will walk thru walls and float in space
:: A notification about rival companies left during a match but in reality they are still present. Not sure if this is bug or a very unpolished notification feature

+UI & QOL
I'm not the best at giving suggestion for UI and QOL maybe some one can tell you a better idea but yeah the UI felt like it need some more polishing as well as control like ESC should be for escaping to main menu instead of F10, etc

+Space Station Design Menu
As of now it's kinda annoying to build your space station. Can you make it so that we can zoom out and see the whole map while in space station design menu? if you really need to limit the building area just use a limit marker instead of disallowing player to zoom or move in the menu. Also some building for QOL could be added like 'long corridor' so that you can extend some end that's too close to another building.

+Limit Invidual Units
One suggestion i have is maybe can you make an invidual limit for some units? Like the biggest ship for example, maybe limit it to only 2 or 3 instead of unlimitted? It can help make the game playable in inf. resource. Also that make it possible for you to unlock the unit limit cap more than 50 since the bigger op ship are limited invidually (take reference from Homeworld)

+UI for selecting unit
That's one basic most crucial feature that the game don't have yet. In every RTS game you should be able to see what units you are selected when you select them in mass so you can micro manage them more effectively. Even grouping option would be nice.

+Transporting Troops
As of now it's still very tedious on how you transport troop. There's some suggestion that i could give for this.
:: Make Robot cost less
:: Make Transport ship cost less
:: Make it so that if troop are selected and you click on transport ship, they will automatically sit there whenever available instead of waiting around

+Better Trading
As of now i don't understand what's the point of trading. You get money yes, but what's the point of having tons of money if you can't spend them on anything except bribe? I know there's a winning condition if you manage to make 100 goods but that mode just suck and without it trading is almost pointless.
Can you make it so that trading mean something more? Like let's say make trader actually bring a tons of more stuff like Ironite and Coolant and goods.

+Better Starting resource
As of now i don't like how the game played if you want to win. You basically need to dominate other planet and suck the resources out from it while in reality if the protester is on, and you are fighting a couple enemy, it will be chaotic and hard to manage because there's war everywhere and you barely have anything to defend. Can you make it so that starting planet has way more resource and even resource in general? this one is just my personal preference.

+Nerf player-controlled ship
It's just too ridiculous. 5 AI controlled battleship lose against 1 player-controlled one

+Make FPS actually meaningful
As of now i don't really see the point of the FPS here other than 'Oh it looks cool, you can see stuff in FPS' like yeah but if you want to win you basically need to always check the RTS because there's a lot happening due to how Fast paced the game is. I really wish if the game is more slowed down in terms of shooting and walking so that FPS is more enjoyable and doable.

Overall i'd recommend people to buy the game and support the dev, it's an amazing game with cool concept but it still need more polishing. Soundtrack is on point tho, love it.

A very good solid game, but unfortunately the grinding in this game is so awfull.

I'm fairly new to the game, and whenever i try to play, it always come like this:

- Spawn
- Go to obj, ready to engage with the enemy
- Got shot down instantly by a higher tier plane
- FInish match, got un-humanly small ammount of reward as well as exp
- Rinse and repeat couple times to unlock next tier plane
- Rinse and repeat again for even higher tier plane, but every higher tier will need a ♥♥♥♥ ton of time and resources to unlock more than the previous tier that its so ridiculously painful to do.

I have a life, i can't play the game 24/7 so basically its almost impossible for me to at least be able to play this game without getting shot down instantly.

So i wouldn't recommend this game if you don't have much time to spent playing like i do, nor have money to burn. But if you do, its a solid game.

I love the game.

Its oddly relaxing. Yes basically you do a same core thing over and over again. Mining resource, upgrade tools, mining again but the feel of exploration, the struggle to survive, playing the game however you want, its great.

There's still things that can be optimized like UI and controls, and overal game performance but overall the game is great, i enjoy playing it alone or with a friend, its great to see this game making a comeback.

I can finally truly be a medic, saving peoples lives in the battlefield with a good paramedic outfit without getting spammed with reminder to buy the DLC.
