Review bombing a souls like game for difficulty gives brain dead

I had big hopes but the game seems to me to shallow to be a tactics game and as a player who loves card games I have no idea why they included such a mechanic in this game

Bugfest, nothing feels innovative except the graphics, they did not release a game on 2021 and told the people they were gonna do something great, they lied.

One word: Unique

Superliminal is one of the greatest puzzle games that came by since the portal games came out, it is incredibly unique in its story telling and mechanics, especially the latter, It is not very long but I suggest you don't rush through it like I did because it will get you nauseous. This game uses perspective and various illusions with a lot of snap transformations of environment and as a guy that doesn't get nauseous easily I'm having a hard time writing this review right now lol.

Overall a great experience you won't forget, just take regular breaks to ensure you remember it in a good way XD

You will never see an AAA game get even slightly near the creativity Superliminal has.

Just got %100 and I have to say it is so much better than the first game which was one of my favorite games ever, they brought in action, more versatility in combat and platforming, great boss fights, a base to build, npcs, side quests and much more that I cannot think of right now.

BUT

I do not recommend you to play it right now because it has a lot of bugs and glitches that hinders the flawless flow the first ori game had. The game freezes upon warping to a shrine, flash effects get activated more than once with delays, you can get pushed out of bounds while trying to cheese a puzzle or even while trying to find secrets.

I always thought of ori as this immense visual feast constructed with smooth gameplay mechanics but this game does not live up to that description YET.

So remain calm and resist the urge to play it for now, so developers can fix some bugs and do some quality of life changes, it will make your gameplay a lot more fun and memorable.


UPDATE: It seems like the game got some bug fixes and qol changes over two patches, so it might be the time to get and play this beast!
