I am not only a valuable asset to the company
but I never felt more wanted than anyone else, by the monsters as well. :^)

This game feels as though it's hiding a dark hindsight, and awareness about selective breeding that unethical breeders use in order for the desired 'features' behind the facade of a cute, innocent game such as this.
But by god, the dogs are indeed wobbly

10/10

Okay, since the game gave me a prompt to Re-do my review, adorned with a picture of three AI-generated kittens.
I must oblige.

I will admit, Gaijin is at least taking the right steps in recognizing (as of lately), the player base's need for QOL changes and overall experience, in which are mentioned below.

So! Gaijin has actually brought forth incentives to continue a match with the skill-based bonus which was definitely a plus; especially typically with higher tiers and one death leavers ultimately ruining another persons, or in some cases, team's experience. Although this doesn't exactly help with new players who decided to buy a top tier premium tank (but not that we have control over that regardless.) Pair with this, the much needed change to repair costs (being relative to time alive in said vehicle), as opposed to previously with the fixed cost, was certainly a welcome change; so take for example, a minute into battle, if not sooner in some cases. you outright just die. You're not forking over say, 8,000 to repair- and barely get anything in return to pay forth to repair said vehicle. Instead you'd pay for a minute's worth (or however long you live) until it hits the max repair cost. The free FPE, and "arcade" repair (and reduced research cost for said components.) And lastly, being able to dislike- like- ban- specific maps you don't wish to play on; and especially as of recently, the ability to opt into queuing into night battles.
Before, it was quite easy to find yourself in a constant loss of silver lions before these changes were made, might I mention you need these in order to progress through the tech trees. While the research grind isn't too much better, (at least for non-premium players) it is a bit of a breather to see that Gaijin is taking measures to help with, aforementioned skill-based rewards.

Though I thought I might add my opinion to the matter, having 4,000+ hours wasted into the game. The reason I'm keeping this at a "not suggested" is because it took literal coordinating of the player base in order to get these much needed changes. While positive overall, the business model isn't the greatest; I'm aware it's free to play with heavy incentives on buying premium time to speed up the grind. But what i'm trying to get at, is it shouldn't take the entire player base to take such drastic measures such as review bombing- and even boycotting the game, in order to make it enjoyable. Let alone playable.

Hopefully this review helps- whether or not you wish to be invested in spending time and potentially money, it truly is a game like no other- it's quite hard to find another game just like War Thunder without going through the more arcade-y or mil-sim path. This is certainly the goldilocks in-between.
