The initial foundation of this game is great. All it needs is some breadth and some sharpening and it would be really good. I think this game would also benefit a lot from being more grand. I would recommend this game at <30 dollars and be hesitant at 40.

I've encountered a few bugs and some other sizable issues.
1. Razed buildings don't get shown to you clearly so if a bandit destroys your logging camp you may not realize it until you are out of logs
2. Troops seem to stutter when walking occasionally. Its led to close calls on the battlefield and made me lose more troops than I had to.
3. The market system needs more transparency with how people set up markets and how they are stocked. This could be more like skill issue but when I had an outpost starving because there wasn't a food stall it didn't seem so.
4. Playing 'Restoring the peace' on challenging is really only challenging the first 3 years. Once you get the ball rolling the game suffers from the repetitious slog that plagues other strategy games where you are just simply taking new regions with the opponent not offering any new resistance.
5. Expanding on 4, It takes way to long to gain influence in order to capture another region. I dropped my restoring the peace playthrough because of this.
6. If an outpost fails you don't have the option to make a new camp or have new people move in.
7. Agriculture makes no sense when trade is available. Its too slow to start up in your main region and too late to start up in a second region.
