Ridiculous how endearing Skyrim is. Yeah the combat is a bit clunky and it crashes sometimes but honestly who cares when you can be a stealth archer cat person who hoards cheese wheels.

The modding community is nuts too. Just don't expect to play anything else for the next few months.
Would recommend if you like losing track of time.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a bold, immersive RPG that plunges you into the heart of Night City—a sprawling urban dystopia where every corner buzzes with danger, intrigue, and possibility. The game shines with its detailed world-building and a narrative that interweaves personal ambition with larger societal conflicts, giving every decision weight and consequence.

Its combat system offers multiple playstyles, letting you choose between straight gunfights, stealth, or hacking, while the extensive RPG mechanics ensure that character progression feels deeply personal and impactful. Despite its rocky launch, the developers have made significant strides in refining the experience, turning Cyberpunk 2077 into a game that rewards exploration and strategic gameplay.

For those seeking a visually stunning, narrative-rich adventure where your choices truly matter, Cyberpunk 2077 is a worthwhile journey into a meticulously crafted futuristic world.

After 40 hours, I'm hooked on Baldur's Gate 3. The depth of character creation, the tactical turn-based combat, and the sheer reactivity of the world are stunning. Every choice feels like it carries real weight.

The story is gripping, the companions are fascinating, and the Forgotten Realms setting feels richly realized. Definitely worthy of all the hype and a true success for the RPG genre.

Worth the price of admission alone for the constant, meaningful Dev blogs and updates, as well as a solid first expansion DLC.

Fantastic gameplay loop that scratches the itch for both city building, but also strategy - crank up the difficulty if you want a challenge, but the game is just as fun on Settler, almost Zen like experience just quietly managing my peoples.

Runs and looks great, phenomenal game.

I really tried to push myself through this one, but I've retired it after 50 or so hours.

It's apparent that this game, despite its ambitions and critical acclaim, falls short in several aspects, particularly when compared to other RPG's at the time.

The plot is simplistic and, at times, clichéd. While the game tries to maintain a light-hearted and humorous tone, this often comes across as lacklustre and undermines the potential for a gripping, emotionally driven narrative.

RPG games should offer deep personal character stories and evolving relationships that shape the game's world and narrative. In contrast, the characters in D:OS often feel like cardboard cutouts, lacking the depth and emotional engagement seen in its contemporaries.

The turn-based combat system of this game can feel jarring and sluggish. This slower pace might appeal to strategy purists, but it often detracts from the overall game flow and immersion for those accustomed to more dynamic combat systems - the enemies sometimes take 3-5 minutes to fully perform their rotations..

Some praise for the game I did enjoy, the graphics engine is gorgeous and still holds up well today - and the quality of the added voice acting is top notch.

I look forward to playing DOS2 which looks to be undoubtedly the better game.

I've delved deep into the world of countless video games, but few have captivated me as profoundly as Hollow Knight. This is an intricate masterpiece, beautifully crafted and meticulously detailed. From the very start, I was absorbed into its hauntingly serene atmosphere, with an art style that combines whimsical charm and eerie melancholy in a way that's nothing short of poetic.

The narrative of Hollow Knight is a compelling tapestry of mystery, built around a rich lore that slowly unfurls as you progress. Finishing the story was a fulfilling quest, one that left me deeply satisfied, having journeyed through poignant revelations and emotional highs and lows that are the marks of a well-crafted tale. It's a storyline that doesn't handhold or spoon-feed but rather respects the player's intelligence and curiosity.

Exploring the depths of Hallownest was an experience filled with thrilling combat, complex characters, and storytelling that's as subtle as it is impactful. The game's expansive world is a labyrinth of secrets and challenges, with each new area unveiling richer lore and more formidable foes. It kept me hooked, pushing me to achieve that nearly perfect 112% completion.

The combat system demands precision and strategy, and each boss—a work of art in itself—presents unique battles that test both skill and patience. Every new ability acquired opens the map in unexpected ways, making exploration addictive and victories all the more triumphant.

However, my truest test lay in the Pantheons, the ultimate showdowns of endurance. While the rest of the game was challenging, this was a gauntlet that required an almost transcendent state of zen-like focus. It was here that my journey paused, a decision born from respect for my enjoyment of the game rather than surrender. The fatigue was real, but it didn't tarnish my admiration for the game; it merely highlighted the intensity of the dedication required to truly conquer it.

In conclusion, Hollow Knight stands as a testament to the heights indie gaming has reached, offering a seamless blend of stunning visuals, a compelling narrative, and gameplay that's both challenging and rewarding. Though my journey halted just shy of absolute completion, the experience, particularly the poignant story completion, was unforgettable and remains a high point of my gaming life. To Team Cherry - You've created not just a game, but a world that lingers long in many hearts, mine included.

The first Witcher game may show its age in some respects, but it's still an incredible ride for anyone looking to dive into the lore and world that has since become a pop culture phenomenon. Sure, the game is a bit rough around the edges with dated graphics and some clunky mechanics, but these are minor issues in the grand scheme of things.

What stands out are the intricate storylines, morally complex choices, and a rich world filled with interesting characters. These core elements have aged quite well, making it a must-play for fans of the series or the fantasy genre in general.

If you can look past its older elements, you'll find a game that laid the foundation for one of the most beloved RPG series of all time. In my opinion, it's a classic that's still well worth your time, from a great time period of the RPG genre on PC.

Crusader Kings III is a grand strategy game that's as deep as it is broad, offering a dizzying array of choices and strategies to explore. Even after playing regularly, I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what this game has to offer. From managing my kingdom's politics to forging alliances through marriages, the sheer scale of options available is staggering.

However, it's worth noting that to get the complete CK3 experience, you'll likely find yourself buying the regular DLC releases. While some might see this as a slight negative, considering it could feel like a pay-to-enjoy-everything approach, each DLC pack undeniably enriches the game, introducing new mechanics, cultures, and challenges that keep the experience fresh and engaging - A classic Paradox way of doing things.

To sum it up, Crusader Kings III is not just a game; it's a sprawling, dynamic sandbox where history and strategy converge. The DLC situation might be a sticking point for some, but if you're in for the full ride, you'll find that they only add layers to an already multifaceted game. The free updates add good QoL to the game as well and the devs are for the most part, quite communicative of changes with awesome patch note and preview write-ups on Seam.

EVE Online is a game that's hard to ignore, for both its captivating elements and its controversial business practices. While the game offers an enormous, player-driven universe that I find myself returning to every couple of years, it's also drawn ire for some poor business decisions, including microtransactions that have upset the balance for some players.

However, for me, the essence of EVE's appeal outweighs these drawbacks. The depth of its economic systems, the scope of its galactic politics, and the scale of its community-driven events are unmatched in the MMORPG genre. Every return visit uncovers something new, from gameplay mechanics to player alliances that shift the landscape of the universe.

Sure, it's not a perfect game, but its imperfections are part of what make it unique. In a sea of more formulaic online games, EVE's complexities and the real stakes involved in its player interactions set it apart and have allowed it to stand the test of time and remain relevant today.

EVE Online is an acquired taste complicated by some questionable business choices. Yet, despite its flaws, it offers an unparalleled, complex space experience that keeps drawing me back. If you can overlook or navigate its controversial elements, you'll find a gaming universe like no other.

Fallout: New Vegas is more than just a role-playing game; it's a rich narrative experience set in a post-apocalyptic world brimming with compelling characters and intricate quest lines. Choices matter here, from dialogue options to faction allegiances, making each playthrough uniquely rewarding.

But what elevates New Vegas from great to legendary is its passionate modding community. Mods can completely reshape your experience, adding new quests, improving graphics, or even introducing entirely new storylines. They allow for a personalized journey through the Mojave Wasteland, enhancing replayability and keeping the game vibrant years after its original release.

In combat, strategy is king. You could be sniping from a distance or getting up close and personal, the gameplay offers depth and flexibility that appeals to a range of playstyles. Add mods into the mix, and you get a plethora of new weapons, tweaks, and features that amplify the fun.

New Vegas isn't just a great game—it's a playground for anyone who loves immersing themselves in a complex, interactive world. If you're in the market for a deep, expansive RPG experience backed by a community committed to enhancing the game even further, this is it.
