I don't know if me having 200+ hours in the game makes me more or less credible in typing this review, but I'll say this: This game is only really fun if you're playing 2v2s or with a friend (and maybe rifts on occassion). Everything else is just a long, torturous grind that frankly sheds light on some of the worst aspects of the platform fighter genre. If this game weren't free, I guarantee you no one would bother with this one. I'm hoping that eventually the devs will turn it around and make it something actually worth playing, but i'm not too optimistic.

Also please stay away from 1v1s for your sanity's sake cuz that ♥♥♥♥ is just cancerous.

Don't let the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ memes and zoomer jokes discourage you from playing this cuz its a genuinely good game and a worthy successor to the Wario land series.

nearly led to my computer getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so no i wouldn't recommend

when you get gifted a game from a friend and you get so addicted to it you put far more hours in it than they do

If doing the same thing over and over expecting something to change is the definition of insanity, then this game is a synonym for it.

Also the game always freezes after like 30-40 minutes, forcing me to quit so have fun doing a whole level all over again if that happens to you too.

Its ok but if you're the kind of person who doesn't like going through trial and error multiple times (especially for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reasons) then I probably wouldn't recommend this game to you for the sake of your sanity

it is the shooter ever

I got this game as after getting recommended about it by a friend during the winter sale and I think I can safely say this is one of the best indie games I had the luxury of playing, if not video games in general. The atmosphere, artwork, characters, music, and overall tone were quite a treat and each ending actually made me feel a bit emotional (though I did not cry my eyes out over them).

With that said, I do have some gripes with the game, primarily that it felt a bit too short for me to fully invest myself towards (chances are you could probably 100% the game in under 6 hours at most if you know what you're doing). Plus aside from the main story and the solstice run, there isn't really much replay value for the game, especially after you complete all the achievements. Speaking of solstice (which, for the sake of newcomers to the game I will not spoil), depending on how you view it, you might not feel all that satisfied completing it.

Besides all that, I still highly recommend people checking it out if they haven't yet. It offers a very atmospheric experience for what its worth and it wouldn't take long for you to get hooked on it.
