rise of the golden idol is genuinely one of the most enthralling and satisfying puzzle games i've ever played. if you like puzzles, solving mysteries, and problem solving, this game is perfect. it gets very complicated and difficult, but it never feels unfair- it always leaves you going "what am I missing here?" and the satisfaction is immense once it clicks.

the only thing i say is go play case of the golden idol first. the stories in each game are /technically/ isolated, but the added context is incredibly enjoyable, and by playing both games you've basically doubled your content. highly recommend, fantastic, 10/10, give me those dlcs NOW

i've played through fort joy at least 12 different times and i know every nook and cranny in that whole place and still havent finished the main campaign because i just keep restarting to try new character archetypes

10/10 big reccomend
