I had so much fun playing this it got me to immediately beat the original game afterwards. It's about as faithful of a remake/remaster as you can get to the point of guides for the 1994 original still work here as the maps are almost identical. Any review you read about it being too retro in its design & qol is from modern gaming bumpkins too spoiled to actually listen to the audio diaries and use a pencil and paper (remember those kids!?) to write down door codes.

I got it for 99 cents, about all its worth. It captures the look and feel of a classic famicom jrpg, and if that's all you want, the game is passable. But its not a good time. I get its an indie rpg maker game, but its so boring.
There is no main story at all unless you pick the correct starting gift, which the game doesn't explain btw. Not explaining is actually a feature, since not one quest gives you any clue as to its ending, and most every quest has 3+ endings. Not like you'll see any evidence of that until the ending slideshow.
It plays like DQ 1 where levels dictate everything, no combat strategies are effective beyond mashing attack. Don't even need to do that, as the auto battler is usually sufficient. Which is fun, yeah? To buy a game to NOT play it. Whats funny, is the AI always auto uses your "ultima" once learned. So, if you liked the autobattler, once you learn any big mana spells it'll just waste all your mana on anything willy-nilly. It also won't re-equip ammo.
Magic is bizarrely locked to whatever character talks to the magic giver, and can get equipped to party members who can't use magic too for some dumb reason. The game does have multiple endings, bad, neutral, and true, however has virtually zero clues on how to actually achieve them. Get it for 99 cents like I did, play around for an hour, and see if its worth your time.

Taking away the AVGN theme, this is a great sidescrolling platformer. The game is a great throwback to old NES games like Megaman 2, Contra, Castlevania and more! The controls, when used with a gamepad, are perfect. They don't slip and slide and any death is your own fault! And die you will, this thing is a beast! The best thing is the accessability; this game have lots of difficulty setting to allow anyone to enjoy it!. Top that off with a geat soundtracs, A+ visuals, and a theme that makes anyone laugh, and you get an instant clasic!

This is probably one of the only FPS games I will ever play. Its a class based shooter where the difference between the 9 classes is actually there! You need to actually use teamwork between your partners and their different classes to win! Because, you will lose by yourself. When's the last time a mainstream FPS did that? Best of all, its free. How can you beat free?

I love horror games, an this is one of the scariest things iI've ever seen. Other games throw blood and guts at yo so much it gets old. Amnesia take a slower and much more real aproach to horror. You character is a basic dude, and cant fight againt thecreatures attacking. That makes every single encounter cary as every monster is a huge hazard!
