Beautiful little game bounces between silly, serene, and wistful. Lots of nice surprises packed into a couple of hours.

It's a coming of age story told through video game mechanics and folklore. The game really beautifully explores the dual relationship between the brothers and manages to keep that fresh throughout. It constantly introduces new concepts for traversing a really breathtaking environment. I was really stunned by Brothers and I'd definitely recommend it as something that introduces really original and thoughtful gameplay and expresses the power of video games as a storytelling medium.

Additionally the game made thorough use of the controller by joysticks and triggers. I personally played with a ps3 controller. I'd recommend playing it with one.

Really witty game. It's pretty short (~3hrs) but it's totally worth the 15$.

In the game itself the player is driven along a path of butteryflies to examine what was left over from the Tsunami in 2011. While I 100% support the cause, the game really falls short as a game. The environment is very basic, including rocks and sand for the most part with some buildings in the background. The scene develops as the water pulls back to reveal more lost in the wreckage but the scene never shows more than a silloette or a pile of sand. The butterfly shows you the next location and you find the next object. The experience feels more like a slideshow than a game.

Brilliant parody on the fighting game genre. Amazing amount of depth for a game that only uses two keys.
