Obviously a classic 10/10 game.

Here's how to enjoy it on a modern system:
- v1.0 exe
- Silent Patch III + Silent Patch DDraw
- Widescreen Fix + Frontend
- Natural HD Textures
- HD Pack
- Limit Adjuster (set to 60 FPS)
- ReShade + Vivid III Preset

the good:
core mechanics
guns feel good
conduct and cheating bans

the bad:
near-constant stutter including every time an enemy opens fire
abysmal netcode with frequent packet loss and delayed hitreg, allies rubberbanding
the devs break something significant with every patch e.g. invisible rpgs
overrun with aggressive yet braindead, unfunny zoomers
every map is terribly designed
spawning on squadmates is a joke - it's whack a mole getting a valid spawn
overall balance is way off and not getting better
rapidly dying population, leaving only hypercaffeinated sweats

No... just no. Life is short. Avoid this long-winded and depressing, insufferably pedantic and posturing drivel. Seriously — it's not worth it.

Detention is a very atmospheric visual novel with a great score and delightful simple puzzles. Its emotional storyline is primarily communicated indirectly such that you're expected to connect the dots between notes, memories, and metaphors, all of which are integrated into the Taiwanese historical and cultural setting. It's just a shame the latter half of the game is bereft of any horror and the latter third of any puzzles. 7 out of 10.

This abomination of a game is a crude mockery of everything Quake once represented as a franchise. Period.

I love the music in Bloodlines. The quests are fun and varied. This is one I think everyone should try.

Combat leaves much to be desired, but those looking for replayability may find a lot of value here, regardless.

The predecessor was far better in every aspect including the intangible. In this sequel, Max loses his mojo
