Really disappointing for the final expansion.

The new mechanics were great but the dlc is far too short.

No new law tree.

Hoping on a Frostpunk 2 that simply combines the mechanics of the first game and it's dlc into a long narrative you can seamlessly play with one city. It's just generally too restrictive in terms of narrative as it cuts up an interesting experience into less interesting unrelated chunks (the scenarios).

Still a good game, it just has a lot of missed potential.

This game comes close to being that elusive, pirate themed RPG we all crave.

It's got some fun game mechanics and reminds me a lot of Cutthroats.

Here's my piratey list of demands:

-More unit types
-More ship model variety
-Ability to walk around one's own ship & interact with it in a useful way
-Ability to set up permenant, repeating trade routes (ship convoys)
-Better UI (Shout out to all accidental surrender sufferers)
-Ability to split troops into your convoys
-Me teleporting from a lost shop to another ship as myself isn't very immersive. There are M&B mods that let you control your companions, why aren't we just given control of one of our other captains if our flagship is taken?
-Randomise trade resources or every game repeat as a trader is too easy
-And gods, create some alternate menus and maps. Like literally EVERY port is the same.

This game is a few updates away from being a personal favourite. It's already very fun to play with it's current features, but I'd love to see:

-Larger maps or infinitely generating worlds

-Rather than losing from lack of happiness, losing when your keep is destroyed

-Height map and land sculpting commands similar to the way the pier and moat work, to create cooler cities

-Multiplayer or singleplayer skirmish, where you compete for resources and try to destroy each other's keeps

-All four faces of the stone enabled, it hurts every time it tells me I can't

-More buildings/features

-Better Advice

-Tougher walls, but longer raids

So close to being the ultimate Total War title, Warhammer TW while visually stunning falls short when it comes to what truly makes a TW game great: Ladders that don't soawn out of nowhere, boats and faction politics.

It's like you just took a gutting knife to the best parts of a TW game and then wallpapered over the gaping hole with a well known franchise and magic. It's an awesome game that I've spent ages playing but I'm annoyed at the develepors for cutting me short on a juicier experience.

It basically amounts to a less good Attila with magic and monsters.

BRING BACK FORTS AND HOTSEAT YOU HEARTLESS BASTARDS.
