This game is the cutest best game it's incredible buy it. I haven't love a game so much in years.

Extremely polished experience with straightforward, refined mechanics, a cool SCP-inspired narrative wrapper, and great visuals. (Shoutout to your UI artist and composer/sound designer who definitely added a huge level of quality to the project)

the game is highly reminiscent of playstation platformers like Banjo Kazooie or Jak and Daxter, and has a cute, coherent style. However the game is incredibly buggy from clipping through story-necessary barriers by using basic attacks, leaving the map through collider gaps or attacks, and finding your way under the kill zone in the soda simply because it wasn't adjusted to cover holes.

I also could not stand the fact that it's a platformer without a jump. I understand the point was to use a swinging swashbuckling mechanic (delivered with no onboarding) to get elevated but if you fall off of a main platform you have literally no choice but to try to kill yourself to restart at a checkpoint (which I guess it after some but not all cutscenes?). Overall, the game is cute, but I found it far too infuriating to play between bugs and the general core mechanics.

People say to ignore reviews saying the rezzing is dumb and the guns are imbalanced, but I think it's fairly true. The rezzing is probably a clever mechanic but the rest of the gameplay is too frustrating to enjoy it. The guns are imbalanced (I think the grenade launcher is pointless. Didn't kill two clones standing right on top of each other at point blank) and I think the gameplay just becomes repetitive. It gets especially confusing if no one scores in the first three loops. Try it yourself while it's in open beta though!

So many reviews are whining about the inputs and how "BS" it is that they can't jump from crystal to crystal. Y'all must suck. I played it before release and I think the movement mechanics are pretty snappy. The game does have some especially challenging parts (Too challenging? Perhaps) but they are far from impossible. All in all, I think it's a very well made game and it's especially fun considering it's free.
