I played CS1 for hours and that will be the game I choose if I have to pick just one game for the rest of my life.

CS2 has come out and I expect a lot but it SEVERELY underdelivers.

I am sure that you readers are aware of the issues haunting this game. It has been around for quite a while and numerous fixes has been rolled out. I refrained from buying this game up until last week. I thought that with all these "economy 2.0" thingy everything has been okay at least.

Unfortunately, it is not.

I always play CS without mod. I like the "vanilla" version where I can experience how the game is intended to be played and just challenge myself (that's where the fun lies isn't it). I appreciate how CS2 is immensely more detailed than CS. The economics, the traffic (now the drivers are much smarter), the season system, the utilities, more realistic sizes, yadda-yadda. but it really lacked lots of the qualities of CS1. Now I have a city of 100.000 pops and some of my complains are:

-The road and route making experience is HORRIBLE. Especially if you need to make a "multi-level/height" roads. Your cursor just WON'T snap to the right place where it is intended to be. I cannot make a bus stop on a bridge because the cursor ALWAYS points to the water below. Speaking about water, there's numerous occasions where I cannot place something while there is obviously NO WATER in it. Oh and don't forget the HORRID visual when you build roads, routes, etc. You can't really distinguish sh*ts.
-Why the F do I need an external connection just to make a ferry route IN MY CITY??
-The policy options are SEVERELY LACKING
-I hate the milestone system
-The buildings looks bland
-Limited option of parks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
-The "landmark" buildings are MEH
-Tourism? yeah I only got a waterpark, a small city park, and some sh*tty observation towers

All in all, CS2 really feels like it started from zero with NO EXPERIENCE from CS1. There are LOTS of nice things about CS1 like the ones included in the parks and recreations DLC, the landmarks, stadiums, etc. CS1 is a really-really-really good game. Surely it is a COMMON SENSE to start developing CS2 based on what is good with CS1. Why didn't you bring some of those nice buildings, landmarks, parks, etc to CS2? why didn't you use the same road-building color scheme as in CS1? Why didn't you use the same SNAPPING system as in CS1? damn did you just forget anything about CS1 and pretend it didn't exist?

TLDR: If you expect the same quality of life as CS1, don't buy it just yet. Only buy if you are just curious about all these shiny "economy" thing. Those of you who are new to CS might think everything is good. However for those who enjoyed CS1 so much, prepare to be disappointed.
