This is a kind of game that comes by only once in a very long time: a game which breathes life into a dying game genre, made with love and genuine appreciation for the genre. Before this, the only true theme park simulator games we had worth investing much time in was the Rollercoaster Tycoon series (before Chris Sawyer and Frontier stopped becoming involved, which was about 13 years ago) and the Nolimits series (if you don't mind not making full-fledged parks (at least, as easily)). This game is entirely worth your time if you like the old Rollercoaster Tycoon games, whether you're a hardcore enthusiast or a more casual gamer.

I think you can probably skip over this expansion and be fine. The only really worthwhile thing in this expansion is the trams. While the snow and related mechanics are nice, it doesn't make it worth 13$. I'd say wait for a sale, unless you really need trams right now.

I feel that if you were to get only one of the two (at this time) DLC's for this game, this would be it. It adds more content that you could use everywhere, in any of your cities.

I wanted to love this game, I really did. But on release, all I got was a bundle of deception and broken promises from Hello Games. Not only did the game not have half the things they said would be in, but the game was slow and buggy as hell on launch.

From someone who has been following and had been hyped from the beginning, don't spend your time (or money) on this game.

My steam hours betray my actual hours; I have well over 5,000 hours total with this game alone, and am still entertained by it.

This game was made 12 years ago. It still works, and is still alive with new fan-made content. The base game is fun, but figure out how to get custom content and mods working, and you will have so much fun just making buildings, let alone an entire park. With the genre being revived in games like Planet Coaster and Parkitect (Let's face it, RCT World is dead to us all) this is an excellent choice to tide you over until Planet Coaster releases, or if it is on sale (Or hell, even if it isn't.)

It's a great game, but check to see if your computer can handle the monstrous requirements. My computer was made in 2010, and needs to be played at an extremely low resolution, along with config file edits and mods to be remotely playable. The game struggles with graphical options, Medium texture resolution (The lowest setting) looks the same as Ultra, and does not offer any performance enhancements.

TLDR: Look at the specs of the game, and compare them with yours. If your computer can't run Skyrim at high settings, get a new computer or get it for console.

Definitely the best option for city builder games, especially after the controversy involving SimCity and Cities XL/XXL, the only other big names in city builders. It's the cheapest in price, but far from poorest quality. If anybody has enjoyed city building games in the past, and have been disappointed in the lack of quality from other games, definitely pick this up.
