Can't believe i haven't written a review for this game yet.

well..let's see.

this game gets unfairly treated as "one of the hardest games of all time"

and while it's true that there are many difficult parts within the game, the philosophy behind that difficulty is simple trial and error.
So during your first playthrough, it's mostly important for each battle and each death to mean something. learn to experiment. and hopefully your next attempt will prove much more successful.


now as far as story goes...The story is fantastic. and there's much lore behind everything in the game. much of the lore can be pieced together by reading item descriptions as you find them. To me it makes me feel like an archeologist who's uncovering a piece of pottery that describes a bit of greek mythology or something. As you get more and more things, a lot of the story will unfold and you'll fall in love with the whole dark souls mythos.


so don't give up, oh chosen undead. the fight doesnt end 'til the next bonfire. so rest up while you can!

I'm always bad at finishing games like this because I'm typically really busy.
Even now, I still havent finished the main quest for the game.

That said, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Skyrim.

Vanilla skyrim is an ok experience, but it lacks alot of the immersion that the mods can give you.

As someone who plays a lot of RPG and is one of those guys who talks to EVERYONE in RPG's. I liked the narrative in this game because there is so much to examine. BTW it IS a game regardless of what people say. But as far as the term "Game" goes, It's more like an interactive storytelling peice. Kinda like those books you got when you were a kid that every now and then had a symbol that told you to press one of the buttons on the side that would play a sound effect. Kinda like that.

anyways. I enjoyed the really nice character developement that was happening for a while. I was kind of disappointed that the main character was a silent one for the most part. I feel like they could have done something there.


this review seems sorta positive, so why is it getting a thumbs down? Well that's because partway through the game it glitched and I was unable to move the player at all anymore. rendering what little of a game there actually was to literally unplayable. soooooo....yea. I just plain can't play it so I can't recommend it in good conscious.

Crafting- Survival- FPS.

You wake up in an open world environmnet, naked and afraid.., after which, it's totally up to you what you want to do.

the game, as it stands right now in Alpha is a tad limiting when it comes to craftables, but I can see it's potential for becoming a fun and entertaining game.

most people right now want to see which game will come out on tom Rust or DayZ....All I can say is, by the time they are both finished, I'll be owning both.
