The best NieR: Automata clone. Play NieR first though.

This game has great atmosphere and gameplay, which makes all the issues with its multiplayer component and lack of Rockstar involvement to fix these all the more frustrating and baffling.

Last 4 times I played it, the game crashed randomly every 10 minutes, and when it didn't, servers were full of griefers with powerful hacks:
- hogtying you without an option to break away
- insta-killing you and your horse regardless of your defensive mode
- teleporting you to far-out locations like Ambarino without access to horses and vehicles.

And that's not even mentioning the endless grind in both regular missions and resource hunting required to run your businesses.

I absolutely recommend that you play the single-player campaign, as it's excellently written and executed, but for the love of God stay away from Red Dead Online.

This game aged well. Of course, the story still isn't perfect as well as somewhat limited dialogue choices, but the world is immersive and alive despite being a wasteland.

If you like farting on dead nazi zombies and throwing ♥♥♥♥ at hobos, this is for you.
