I recently nominated this for the award of 'game series most deserving of a third installment'. Half Life 2 might not look like much compared to the FPS shooters around today, but the series focussed on originality, new experiences and releasing a polished product. There needs to be a third Half Life because the story needs to be completed, but also because I want to see that leap forwards. Half Life 2 made Half Life feel old, despite it's undeniable quality. I want to see what Half Life 3 will make Half Life 2 feel like.

This game is a clinic in storytelling, level design, enemy design, weapon/tool design, what more can you ask for?

There are also some pretty decent mods to update the graphics.

Beautiful and haunting. Not a game in the traditional sense but more of an interactive, immersive story.

Rather than having a sense of enjoyment come from the mechanics, it comes more from the atmosphere, the music and the gorgeous environments.

This is a short but recommended experience.
