Pros:
Plenty of additions in the game, that set it apart from Attila.
Starts in 395, so you can start ruining the Roman Empire immediately.
Religions replace cultures, and you can convert at will.
Mods that improve the game, but are not as great as those in Rome 2 (yet).
Victory Conditions do not take you 200 hours to complete.
Campaign DLCs are great. Age of Charlemagne is a treat for those looking forward to Medieval 3.

Cons:
Still a problem with "hidden income", i.e. CA doesn't understand difficulty, so they just fork in huge sums of extra money to give to all factions that aren't yours. One-city factions will be able to sustain 3-4 full stacks, as a result.
Not only do minor factions get hidden income, but major factions do, as well. Expect to see the Persian Superpower of the Sassanids and their Vassal Fuccbois dominate the known world, if you don't play as the Sassys.
Lack of Diversity in Europe. Literally everyone is a Germanic tribe, with the exception of Britannia and the Slavs.
Food is no longer universal, so you now have to build farms to support each province, which leads to building sanitation buildings to support those farms. Space you need is going to space you're forced to use to survive, in the long-term.
Public order is now harder to control, because of mass immigration (with no choice of building a wall), province-central food supply, religious differences, and a variety of other things.
All this DLC (that I still bought).
All this Free-LC (that I still downloaded).

This game isn't for everyone, but if you're a definite Total War person, this game is for you.

Things that come with this DLC:
Trying to teach your kid not to be a horrible person.
More reasons for your vassals to hate you.
More ways for your vassals to screw you over.

Things that come with the patch that came with this DLC:
Coalitions created by the NWO to shut you down.
Defeated armies will never take attrition when running from you.
Defeated armies will also run across the entire world to find a safespace.

After all, it's widely known that Bjorn Ironside was defeated by the Finns. He defeated a Finnic army, which proceeded to march counter-clockwise through Sweden to kill him from behind,

Or that King Phillippe of France died at the tender age of 14, because his vassals thought putting a kid in power was a stupid idea, and that his regent wasn't allowing anyone to get married or be given titles or go to war. So, they assassinated him.

Lord have mercy, this game is still getting updates, and it keeps getting better and better.

Cons:
The base game without patches is a buggy mess that leaves plenty to be desired.
Combat isn't the best, and could be better.
It's in California.
THE HOLLYWOOD SEWER LEVEL.

Pros:
One of the best-written stories ever created. Every character has their own distinct flavor that makes them memorable.
Locations on-tone with the World of Darkness, ranging from the stormy beachfront of Santa Monica to the clearly off-putting and guarded Chinatown.
All the clans have their own strengths and weaknesses, creating plenty of ways for the player to go about playing them.
Quests are memorable and give plenty of rewards. The added bonus for peaceful completion gives it a more challenging edge that is satisfactory.
THE UNOFFICIAL PATCH. If you're going to buy Bloodlines, install the Unofficial Patch with it. The game becomes 100% more stable and content-packed with this, and includes plenty more ways to dive into the world of Bloodlines.
