I'd never played the original RE2, but I'd heard good things. So the remake came out, and I figured I'd try it out. It was absolutely worth it. The game plays, looks, and sounds amazing. There's few minor problems with voice acting and the damage system on the zombies can feel a bit wonky, but for the most part, it's a fantastic game. I'd say it's worth full price.

Honestly, it might just be because I'm a sucker for John Woo movies and Hong Kong as a setting in general, but the game hit all the right notes for me. An engaging plot, extremely solid melee combat with some decent gunplay, interesting characters... It's one of those games that I wholeheartedly recommend, even at full price.

Definitely one of my favorite games, even if it still doesn't have particularly satisfying victory conditions. Or good sector AI. Or particularly amazing AI in general. But despite that, the game's fun, and worth every penny, especially with the Leviathans DLC.

Fantastic turn-based game, makes me want to play the tabletop Shadowrun and realize I'll suck at that too.

The first enemy I fought, a giant toad, nearly kicked my ass on Rookie difficulty. Good game.

No but seriously, this is a good game. It can be challenging, the writing so far has been excellent, the characters are interesting, the (so far) one choice between missions I've had to make was difficult, and already I want to kill all the Red Skorpions. I have encountered a bug where character portraits go all rainbow-colored and then the overworld map freaks the ♥♥♥♥ out and kills my frame rate so I have to restart, but it's uncommon enough to not be a problem. Maybe wait for a patch or two, but so far it's been worth it even at full price.
