This is a great game. Has the feel of a top-down RPG like Link to the Past, but has a very clear identity all of its own. Its set in a fictional version of the Northeast of England and the setting captures the mythology and legend of its early Anglo-Saxon and Celtic pasts, a lot here for locals and history buffs to enjoy as well as those who love solid old-school RPGs. Plenty of well thought-out puzzles across its dungeons, gave me more challenges and play-time than I expected. Really good.

This game is terrible and easily the worst of the classic Sonic games. The positive reviews are simply wrong. I think there's an element of people professing to like a clearly bad game to demonstrate how much they love the series, in the same way that pretending to love some band's obscure or weird album makes you a bigger fan. The level design is terrible. The time travel gimmick is pointless, the levels are basically the same either way. The levels are terribly designed, it seems as if they were thrown together without much thought. Random springs EVERYWHERE and dead ends that do nothing. The gimmicks for each level are weird and do not add anything, they pretty much just make running through the entire level slightly slower. There are very few baddies, the ones that are there are simplistic and placed so you'll basically never run into them. The boss fights are simplistic and often require only one hit on the boss. The game is very easy, easier than most other Sonic games. People go nuts about the music, it's okay, tbh it doesn't fit the Sonic series very well at all. The game itself does not look good, despite being on the Sega CD it looks almost identical to Sonic 2 but without its warmth, everything is just coldly futuristic. Unless you really need to play this, I wouldn't bother.
