After 278 hours, 54 minutes, and 43.. 44.. 45 seconds (and 640,089 rotations) over the past few years playing Tetris Effect on the PS4, my dreams at times consumed with glowing, falling blocks and Always Been But Never Dreamed playing hauntingly somewhere in the background, tonight was the night to finally play it on the PC, with the release of Connected.

Art is subjective, but when you witness something truly beautiful, it stays with you. The first time I played all the way through the levels on the PS4, and saw that ending sequence, I actually cried, the music and the visuals connecting with me on a level few games ever achieved. It's hard to imagine something so emotionally resonating being anything but perfect.

Tonight, Tetris Effect: Connected showed me that even something that overwhelmingly beautiful can grow and become more.

Maybe it's something tweaked in the code. Maye it's the improved visuals, taking advantage of my PC's graphics card, its faster processor. Maybe it's playing through all the levels again like it's the first time, a new journey from Apprentice to Grand Master. Maybe it's finally connecting with new players for the first time, listening to new music, experiencing new visuals.

In the end, like all art, it comes down to how it makes you feel. And after 3 years of playing on the PS4, this game never leaving my mind for long, Tetris Effect: Connected feels new and exciting, breathtakingly beautiful, and more than the sum of its parts.

If you've played Tetris in any other form, but haven't played Tetris Effect... If you've never played Tetris but need a monentary escape from the worries of the world... If you want to experience something new that just might surprise you, just might take your breath away...

Play Tetris Effect. And get Connected with all of us.
