finally caught all the fish and feel like a real hero, got to meet lots of like-minded single fathers who also lost their kids in the divorce and now just wanna go fishing with their buds, crack a few virtual beers and watch the days slip by drowned out by yeasty sadness.

Early Access Review
A good and enjoyable dungeon crawler, with sufficient depth for an early access game. There are skill trees for specialising your characters and the combat is fast in real time. The art style is cute, almost hand drawn, which gives it a comic book/manga aesthetic, it reminds me of Frieren. The cost is very appealing, much cheaper than most early access games and there is enough content for the price. Navigating through the dungeons feels nostalgic, there is a slight hazy effect, similar to the art of Return of the Obra Dinn.

The dev is responsive to bug reports and feedback on discord, although this is primarily done in Japanese. Speaking of, the game has a machine translated English version that isn't mentioned on the Steam information, it is understandable and only rarely sounds artificial, so I recommend to dungeon crawler fans who might be put off by the Japanese only support, it is definitely playable in English.

Overall so far I have found it to be easier than Wizardry, so maybe some of the monsters need to be stronger. This genre sadly does not have enough games so I'm glad to see someone trying to make a new blobber. At this price I recommend it. In the future, more dungeons, characters/classes, and achievements would be nice (I believe some of this is planned).

Probably still the best "casual" milsim style game available. Less of a "running sim" vs competitors and a modern setting. Definitely struggles on performance at times, and the devs have often been behind on their roadmap, but ultimately its a genre with few alternatives.

Early Access Review
2025/07/23 Update: It has been a while since I last played this, and the game has received many major updates, most significantly in terms of my review, the line is now greatly expanded, and the operation of the train and conductor modes have been given more interaction and purpose. I can safely recommend this as a fantastic, enjoyable, and rewarding train sim for fans of the genre. The game excels at being approachable for new players as well.

As of 2022/06/23 The game received a new update to allow for "Conductor mode" which is a very welcome addition, this allows you to play the role of the train conductor, safety checks, door opening, etc. A wonderful and unique option that I've not seen in games before.

Fun but a little odd - this is a rail sim that seeks to capture the Japanese commuter rail system. It does a pretty good job at this; specific stop points, timing, ride quality, etc. The recordings for the PA system at stations as well as the conductor are immersive and add to the enjoyment of the game. One major downside is the limited amount of routes available, one main line can be travelled in either direction. With time and hopefully some expansion of the rail network, this could be a great Japanese commuter rail sim. If possible I'd like to have more engagement with the controls & train itself; currently many of the buttons in the cabin cannot be interacted with, which is one upside to the Wakayama line in TS20xx. More hardcore train-sim drivers will find the contents lacking compared with other software, but the general simplicity of the design makes for a smoother experience with more 'arcadey' controls.

Overall, probably about as close to the Densha-de-Go arcade game we'll get on PC for now, but definitely more limited in content. Fun for the Japanese novelty that I think is sorely lacking in other Train sims (e.g. the Wakayama & Sakurai lines in TS20xx)

Also the dev seems to have a VTuber channel, I'm not familiar with this culture but it's interesting, you can watch the game there.

Fun levels to repeat, engaging boss fights (on higher difficulties), and interesting roguelite mechanics. The art style is quaint and the gameplay/combat/shooting is both enjoyable and satisfying that you'll enjoy repeating levels/tilesets while you pop wyrms and exploding lanterns. I personally enjoy the Angelic Aura SMG with scrolls that pull ammo from your reserves, or ones that give you a few seconds of no-ammo consumption after a kill, resulting in a never-ending stream of high fire rate bullets from your SMG.

Downsides are the difficulty in doing co-op (p2p networking, no server browser), and some lag therefore even when you do go co-op. Playing solo is still fine, and go with friends for a great experience.

Overall, even if you play solo, the game is a lot of fun at this price, worth picking up.

utterly addicting transport tycoon/business management simulator. great to play with friends and an easy way to lose track of time. fire up your kettle cos you'll be working out ways to get goods across the world as efficiently as possible for hours to come.

it can be a little daunting at first, but give it time, look up how things work, read the wiki and watch some videos, you'll love it.

It's fun and enjoyable, and quite addictive. Steep learning curve which makes me wish there was more material for strategies and learning potential. There are some notable ones on the steam community but outside of that its very much a learn-by-experience kind of game.

It might be a little different from the game you played 30 thousand years ago on Warcraft, but this version is enjoyable nonetheless. My biggest gripe would be that its been available in early access for some time meaning there are some players who have thousands of hours under their belt, and you coming in for the first time really have to learn in a trial-by-fire scenario (further compounded by the aforementioned lack of learning resources).

There's an in game cash shop for skins, no need to front any additional money if you don't want to.

Early Access Review
Really fun game, very Rimworld-esque but with medieval focus. Despite its early access the core features are really solid, but I feel the game may quickly show its limitations after extended play. If you like colony sim games, rimworld, or medieval themes, its a great game to try. Excited to see future updates and would love workshop support too.
