A Co-op PVE shooter that involves mining resources to complete missions and take home a fat paycheck. The four classes have varying enough play styles that each member of the team feels like you contribute something worthwhile to completing the mission, with scaling difficulty to satisfy both those hungry for challenge and those looking for a relaxed experience.

The rewards and progression system feels satisfying enough to incentivize further playing, but not overwhelming. You can pick and choose where you want to progress (for the most part), and you can feel your guys getting stronger with each purchase.

The atmosphere is great and the voice over is a home run. Pick it up with a couple of friends.

A wonderful roguelike that feels satisfying enough to learn and progress through, as you smash skeletons and dodge boss attacks, and while the combat and boon synergies are nothing to sneeze at, they aren't the core of what makes this game really great.
Meeting and interacting characters between runs lets you really connect with the plot and what you're doing, and while it's not necessarily choice driven you're allowed to pursue relationships with characters to change the dialogue a bit.

In classic Supergiant fashion, the voice acting is astounding and there is so much of it you will basically never hear repeated dialogue. It's all fresh, humorous, and emotionally touching at the same time.

Not great, not bad. Lip synching issues were my biggest gripe, really pulled me out of the story.
The story itself is very linear. Not a lot of choices to be made, or even room for creativity when it comes to exploration or different solutions to problems. This is not to say that the story was bad by any means.

The puzzles were for the most part simple.
Combat near the end felt very diverse, but as with the entirety of the game, it takes a lot of building to get there. You don't get a lot of time in the story with your ENTIRE toolkit.

To be fair, I still finished it though. I was somewhat connected to the characters and the story, the environments were beautiful and the setting was interesting.

Most likely worth it when it's on sale.

VO, Music, and Gameplay are all a homerun. Story can get a little confusing but it's easy enough to float through

Went in expecting at atmospheric game: got so, so much more. Ended in a full sweat. Worth much more than the 3 bucks it goes for. An easy pick up for a couple of hours.

You have to play this game. It's the most innovate shooter I've played in years.

These external programs are insane. The game won't even start without windows live, and saving the damn game is impossible without it too. AND That program is such crap that I can't even sign in. Drove me insane trying to set it up.

This is one of the best class-based shooters i've ever played. Now in plenty of other games you'll hear, "Work as a team and win!!!!!1!!!!" But in those games you can easily just meander off on your own and still destroy the enemy team. But not in dirty bomb. If your team has little to no coordination, you'll basically lose the match before you even start. This game also works where some mercs are locked, and need to be bought, with in game credits or your own money. This isn't too deterring, but it can take a while to get another merc if you want to stay F2P.
