After spending some time with this game as host with a couple of my close friends, I can say its enjoyable and fresh. It's obvious to see the small developer team have poured lots of heart, time and energy into this title over a long time. The system of switching between your human and beast form is very unique and slick. It offers variety when battling enemies as each form has their own set of skills, cons and pros. Combine this with others and the combat and scenarios really shine. The art style chosen for the title is also unique and pretty. Who doesn't love some neon colours?

As for improvements I'd like to see in the future, general frame rate performance would be appreciated but this is by no means a deal breaker as it does not effect the overall experience too much. I'd also like to see a bit more of a distinction of items in your inventory as its all a bit samey and hard to digest at times. This is a small nitpick though.

Builds upon everything created and founded in the original Rogue Legacy - which was one of my favourite games of that release year. More abilities, classes, variety, challenge, bosses and secrets. Looking forward to the next major content drop in 2021.

EDIT: As of May 18th since the - Rogue Legacy 2 – v0.4.0 – The Drifting Worlds Update the game's performance suffers frame rate issues that are visually distracting and breaks the smooth immersion. It hinders game play as well. Will have to wait to see if this is fixed otherwise I will not continue to play this game.

Simple premise. Deadly consequences! Great game for meeting folks and testing the ultimate bluffs.

It's a classic. Grab some friends, talk whatever and kill some zombies!

Great story. Fantastic game mechanics. Always challenging but fair. Always feels fresh. Great rogue like title!

Clever puzzles. Witty writing. Excellent single player and co-op adventures. Grab a friend and enjoy the co op or be immersed in the great single player as well.

The best love story I've ever seen in a video game.

Vibrant, beautiful, simple and most importantly - fun! This game is full of charm with everything you do. If you love platforming, you should definitely play this. 9/10
