Cute game for anyone and everyone. Comfycore to the absolute maximum. Oldguard fans of Harvest Moon would love it, new players love it for its ease of access.
Great music.
Engaging characters.
Awesome artstyle.
9/10

Pros:
-Maps are generally getting better and better
-New monsters are interesting even if a lot of them are just variations of existing skeletons
-Every weapon had a bit of fresh air breathed into it with slightly reworked movesets to make each weapon feel more enjoyable to use
-Nods to MH4/U with Gemma and Oliver existing
-Return of the proper SOS system from World
-Separation of offensive and defensive decoration slotting abilities which promotes more defensive builds than strictly all offensive
-The addition of while out exploring any given area, turning a monster found into a quest simply by attacking it.
-Wonderful visuals all around. Game looks beautiful, animations are not only extremely smooth, but revamped slightly,
-I love the Guardian Variants of existing monsters

Cons:
-For a Monster Hunter game, this game was really, really easy. I carted once throughout starting Low Rank and finishing High Rank. First time was to Gore Magala. I have failed one singular quest in the game, and that was tempered Gore.
-Music is fairly generic, which is a bummer for a MH title. Hopefully either title updates or the expansion in a year will remedy this. I'm really into OSTs so I personally value this a lot more than I probably should.
-Lack of monsters; I could be wrong but it feels like this game launched with less monsters than World of Rise. And that results in a shorter game in general and more specifically it results in a very stale endgame. Again, hopefully title updates and the G-rank equivalent expansion will remedy this.
-Forced walk and talk segments; these do not belong in a Monster Hunter game. Full stop.
-Everything is too easy to acquire. You get an untold amount of general materials from just attacking the monster, then the quest rewards, and then whatever investigation rewards you might've had, including (but not limited to) guaranteed gem drops.
-Game is really handholdy when it comes to gear preparation. Because you don't have to prepare at all.
-More than half the sets in HR are useless due to poor defense. I understand that this is the case for most MH titles, but it is really evident when there are only 7 defensibly viable sets.
-Monsters get staggered too often. More stagger = more damage done. More damage done = dramatically shorter hunts. This problem compounds the more hunters are in a hunt.
-Hope you like fighting Arkveld and Gore Magala

Overall: 7/10

At it's core it is a Monster Hunter game. By default it will be a cut above the normal slop. I've played monhun since FU2 on the PSP, and was initially apprehensive about World going forward, in some regards I still am apprehensive. On the one hand, I like the updated visuals and animations, but on the other hand, I don't like how easy the titles are progressively getting. I feel like the experience is cheapening every title since World.

I'm hoping we'll see more of a return to form as title updates come out and inevitably the expansion.

Kenshi is honestly one of the most unique games I've ever experienced. When I first played it, I actually hated it. I thought I got suckered in by a recommendation from a friend who said it was one of the best games he's ever played. After I quit the game and let it sit for a month or two, I had an inkling to return and I'm glad I did.

This game will have you getting your ass kicked by starving bandits for the first week, until you can eventually take on and kill the bandits yourself. Then you upgrade to the next tier of bandits, so on and so forth and before you know it, you and a ragtag group of misfits are spending your time making illegal narcotics for profit, destroying entire civilizations, or making and selling food.

My only real advice is that going into this game blind is an absolute treat and I wish I could experience it for the first time again. That and to save often.

Absolutely worth even full price.

This game was in a bad spot before, with all the endless nerfs of anything fun. Developers seemed to have learned that people want to play the game and feel strong without having to adhere to some imaginary competitive ruleset. Good turnaround.

There's a reason why I have 500+ hours in the first one and 60 hours in this one.
Its a straight downgrade that misses what made DD1 so unique as a semi-roguelike, because DD2 went full roguelike.
Just get your ass kicked after a three hour run to be slightly better for the next run, ad nauseum.

Its essentially Sea of Thieves meets FTL.

There is zero reason why I average 30ish kills and 10 deaths in BF1 but almost always end a match of BFV with 5ish kills and 20 deaths other than actual foul play.
This game's cheating problem is absolutely rampant. Zero moderation on """community""" servers, easy anti-cheat slapped on like a bandaid over a gaping wound, and no support from EA on the matter as this game is dead and done with.

This game is both a waste of time and money, both better spent on games like Battlefield 1.
