Sleeper good

Low key bops. The only game soundtrack I've ever actually wanted <3

Chronos: Before the Ashes is a 2016 VR title that has been remade to not require VR. Having just completed the game - it's a great experience. The aging mechanic adds some novelty to the leveling and perks. Combat, while relatively slow-paced, feels satisfying when you have all the timing down and execute perfect dodges and attacks. I was a little disappointed at the level cap (70) but I only reached it because I farmed summoned creatures. The inventory system for items definitely could use some work, but it didn't get in the way of my experience, just made the menu'ing a little clunky.

Some people are upset on the forums because they view this as a 'cash grab', which I really don't understand. Is making a VR title accessible to new people a cash grab? It's a great game in it's own right.

Everything about this game is carefully crafted. Characters feel real, your skills talking to you is often hilarious, yet emotional. The only disappointment I felt with the game was culprit for the crime - but the rest of the ending is still incredibly strong. 24 skills and skill checks galore, couldn't feel more satisfying.
