Honestly, The game is just easy to play. When i say that I don't just mean the difficulty isn't high, because there are variables that can effect a persons view on how difficult a game is. When I say this game is easy to play I mean it in the sense that you can just play it, and not feel like the game is actively trying to beat you with a stick.

Other ARPG's lately have this hard on for souls like difficulty and horrible mechanics that don't fit with what an ARPG is. Last Epoch is more about the player blasting and having a good time, and working towards aspirational content, while other games are focused on making everything aspirational in order to sustain the type of player that can beat anything in a couple of days.

Last epoch is a game for Normal people who love ARPGS.

POE2 has an identity crisis like you wouldn't believe.

If you've played POE, this game has some similarities, but all in all this is. Super Mario Bros: the lost levels version of POE.

Everything is more of a slog. All of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ one shots are still there, except now you as the players are weaker, you're slower, all of your skills and talent tree choices come with downsides. There are almost no movement abilities, Defenses have been eviscerated, and every mob can kill you with a look.

Some people are probably thing this is a good thing. For me it's not. GGG wants this game to have meaningful combat, with multiple skills and combos. Unfortunately 90% of the time it doesn't work. The Mobs are faster, stronger, tankier then you. a small white mob can literally push you around the map. The maps are full of small corridors where you're getting off screen killed by archers who do chaos damage in line which leaves deadly ground you might not render.

The whole thing feels like ♥♥♥♥, and to make matters worse, they took the devs from the original and have not given us a new league in almost a year.

Everything kind of sucks in the POE universe right now.

Unable to play due to matchmaking? not really sure why i need match making when the only person im trying to play with is in my party.

Can't recommend

After years of really enjoyable gameplay. the Developers have decided that instead of making a new game, they want to turn this game into it's own sequel.

Along with that choice, they are changing foundational portions of the game and I've very much so not enjoyed those changes.

The reason I'm writing this review however isn't because the game i used to enjoy is now much less enjoyable, I'm writing this review because when the players voiced their concerns about it they were ignored in some cases, and in other cases, straight up gaslit.

The developers have spent the last year telling their player base that the way they enjoy the game is wrong and not the most enjoyable way to play, and then the devs have actually changed the game to better fit the mold of their vision of what players SHOULD be doing instead.

I've lost faith and trust in GGG.

This game is hard, after over ten hours of playing we managed to beat the game once, on medium. This game has some sync issues, and there does not appear to be a ton of variety, resulting in no real need to keep playing after you win once, which is not great for a rogue like game. Overall it's a solid $15 purchase for about ten hours worth of sorta deck building.

Rocket league is worth $50, and apparently i got a steam link for free.

This game is wonderfully fun.

wonderful game, occasionally I'll start doing one of the more involved heists, and before i know it HOURS have gone by and I've spent my entire Friday night trying to break into some dudes vault.

Very repetitive, very SLOW combat style. purchased for 70% off and feel like i wasted money.
