I have to say I love the 'idea' of the game.
Building a settlement, grow it as big as you want. With the help of others, turn that small fishing village in to a bustling trade port. Over time, you and your settlement are rewarded based on the location of your settlement and the amount of people that come through your town and use your facilities. Construct roads to further expand your trade throughout the continent. Attract new players with an active market and trade stalls. Build a thriving economy worthy of a massive empire.

I have over 200 hours played now, though a big chunk of that is AFK crafting and processing.
People comparing it to OSRS are pretty much on the nose. It works great as a side monitor game where you don't need to provide much attention.

The social aspect of the game is supposed to be vital but the lack of friends list, private chat, settlement and empire chat is really frustrating. Almost all communication I have had with my empire is done through Discord or local chat. Its rather inconvenient at times.

In the end, I will probably keep playing. I'm excited to see the direction things go as Early Access progresses.

Why even release this for PC with the complete lack of any optimization for Mouse and Keyboard?
The controls are horrid. It's such a shame, because the game looks and sounds beautiful.

Dont recommend if you ever plan on moving abroad for any reason.

Security is absolutely ridiculous.
The region locking and layers of garbage you have to go through just to play is such a pain in the ass. I lost years of progress since I moved from the US to Australia for work.
Decided to pick the game up again after moving to Japan and I need yet another new account to play the same game.

Oh, but my Steam purchase is locked to my Australian account so I guess I need to drop $60 on a new copy of the game.

No thanks.
