Well, they've done it. In less than a week they've been throwing out patches faster than anyone could reasonably expect. They've listened to the community the whole way while keeping to their own image of the game.

Critical bugs have been patched, balance issues are slowly being worked on to best maintain balance, and inconsistencies in the equipment and armour is slowly being fixed as its found. The snowball issue is being worked on patch by patch.

With the effort they're putting into the game to fix all these issues, my concerns and original recommendation has definitely changed. This isn't one of those games that gets released unfinished and left for a year to fester in its own failure. The devs are being incredibly responsive and reactive to all the feedback and implementing fixes day after day at this stage. I would definitely recommend the game at this stage.
