✅ Far Cry 3 sci-fi spinoff game
✅ Good story
✅ Filled with hilarious and humorous dialogues
✅ Gameplay is awesome
✅ Detailed progression tracker
✅ Has one of the most overpowered weapon in a game

❌ Just like Far Cry 3, performance across settings is terrible. High/Very high/Ultra settings is very unoptimized and tanks FPS
❌ Game has scanline filter which makes it look very bad
❌ Short game (this game fills more like a Far Cry 3 DLC)
❌ Unnecessarily tries to connect to dead Ubisoft server which takes up a lot of time

✅ Movement and character expression feels far better than previous game
✅ Great accessibility options that can be used to skip QTEs/Remove timer/Skip minigames
✅ Hilarious/Sarcastic/Goofy moments

❌ Terrible and unlikable cast of main characters. Probably the worst in all Borderlands
❌ Story turns out to be so bad. The first game was such a masterpiece
❌ Vaultlander battles were so stupid

I don't know what they were trying to do with this New Tales of Borderlands game. It's like no one who made this game played the first game. Doesn't even hold a candle to the first game. There was no sense of direction in the story. The characters sucked. The middle part of the game felt like a filler. The game really just feels like a bad filler.

✅ Full remake of Persona 3
✅ Fantastic UI design
✅ Amazing story & characters
✅ Theurgy's were very cool
✅ Rewind feature is awesome

❌ You can't remove arcana from arcana burst. Some of them are useless. While they're highly useful, it felt like a pain to farm the specific ones on every Tartarus visit
❌ Social link doesn't display which days the person is available. This was displayed in the portable version, I don't understand why they removed such an important thing
❌ Default resolution scale looks very blurry
❌ There's a weird input lag when panning camera
❌ Even for a full remake, base game is priced too highly. On top of that, they've locked additional content behind DLCs

✅ Pretty good story game
✅ Realistic graphics
✅ Mind palace was very cool
✅ Choice based story & consequences
✅ I really liked the protag and your 'other' self
✅ Good soundtracks

❌ The main girl in the game (& protag's lover) looks ugly and does not make any sense. Game could've been so much better otherwise
❌ Not very long (~ 6-7 hours)
❌ A lot of objects in the game is not interactable and is unnecessarily highlighted
❌ You can't skip cutscenes so it's unlikely for anyone to replay to see the different ending

✅ Short but sweet game
✅ Charming protag
✅ Rocking soundtrack
✅ Decent story
✅ Simple but fun gameplay

❌ Gameplay is internally locked at 30 FPS
❌ Enemies can easily fall off map and you lose valuable loot from them
❌ Unskippable cutscenes (makes it a pain to redo boss fight)
❌ Control/Camera can feel clunky (it's an ancient game)
❌ Various translation and spelling errors

❌ Base game is not long
❌ Some features (like God skills) that should've been part of base game is locked behind DLCs. The Slayer edition is highly recommended for this game
❌ There's hardly any build variety with a class
❌ Gameplay lacks depth verses other ARPGs like Grim Dawn/Torchlight
❌ Gameplay feels repetitive later on
❌ Skill animations looks bad
❌ Map design is horrible. They're repeatedly reused throughout the chapter
❌ You can't buy anything in this game. Gold is used for a different purpose and it unlocks very late in game
❌ When using storage, you can't see the item stat. This makes it extremely inconvenient to use the storage

✅ Isometric ARPG based on Warhammer universe
✅ 5 different classes (1 with DLC) offers different playstyles
✅ Leveling up feels rewarding as you learn new skills every level
✅ Flexible skill system
✅ Loots are dropped based on class you play with. So no need to worry about sorting through other classes equipment
✅ Difficulty can be easily changed and rewards scales with difficulty
✅ Replayable

✅ Extreme downhill biking game
✅ Can be very fun to play
✅ Realistic physics
✅ Procedural tracks so they're always different
✅ Good graphics
✅ Good soundtracks
✅ Stages does not have a time limit, so you can either risk it and beat it fast or play the safe way by going slowly
✅ Each location is uniquely designed
✅ Game features tons of cosmetics

❌ Rogue lite element occasionally makes the game extremely frustrating to play. Sometimes you lose 2 lives and sometimes you get knocked out just by landing it did not feel fair
❌ You can't reverse your bike (just why???)
❌ Collecting Reps (or stunt points) does not feel rewarding as you can't do anything with it
❌ No racing mode
❌ Cosmetics are randomly unlocked and it just did not feel rewarding. Instead, it should've been unlocked in a different way like completing a stage/boss stage/number of reps.
❌ Game does not strangely recognize my 8Bitdo Ultimate controller. Easy solution is to enable Steam Input for this game if you're using the same controller

Trails through Daybreak is the 11th game in the Legend of Heroes series, and takes place in the new Calvard region. Daybreak actually managed to break some of the series traditions that has been holding back the Trails games, and this comes as a huge surprise for anyone who's played all their games. Daybreak surpasses it's predecessors by touching on the darker parts of the society right from the start.

In Sky trilogy we played as bracers, in Crossbell as the police, in Cold Steel as a student and now we play as a spriggan which is an entirely new setting. Spriggan takes on work that falls in grey areas, not black or white as described by Van our protagonist, so you can imagine how different it is from typical JRPGs. There's even an alignment system in the game that changes based on morally good or bad choices you choose.

The game has been designed using Falcom's own custom engine so graphically it looks a lot better than previous games. As Peter Durante said in one of his interview, it is rare for mid-size gaming company like Falcom to make their own custom engine as it's typically done by larger studios and this goes to show how much effort Falcom put out for this game. There are a lot of ingame graphics setting, and even HDR support as well.

One underrated feature worth mentioning that all Trails games share is the ability to resume right back at last save point which is a godsend QOL. I have never seen this in any other game and it's clearly not getting the attention it deserves. Every game should take a page out of this feature.

Combat has gotten a complete overhaul as well, with a new field command battle system. To be honest, I didn't like it, they should have stuck with turn-based battle only. The turn-based battle system is a lot different from previous game and feels like an entirely new system. But they've introduced some drawbacks with the system: you can't steal enemy turns anymore. Battles are more fast paced but it also makes most of the boss fight easier than before.

One thing that really bothered me with the story was that the last part of the game felt like a slog, and it was unnecessarily way too long. The final chapter and before it should've been made one single chapter. It felt like the same thing happened over again which made a huge blow to the story at the end.

My favorite part of Daybreak is the characters themselves. They kept the whole game entertaining. Sometimes it was so damn hilarious. Sometimes the game felt like a reflection of the real world. I really loved that detail in the game.

All in all, Daybreak takes the series in the right direction. It did feel like a fresh new Trails game. It does unfortunately have few major flaws but what game doesn't have it? Overall I do strongly recommend the game.

✅ One of the best isometric ARPG
✅ 9 classes offer 9 completely different playstyle
✅ Dual class system (although this is less useful than what it seems)
✅ Dark gritty graphics and environment
✅ Combat is very fun
✅ Auto loot system
✅ Heavy loot based gameplay
✅ Stash is pretty big, hoarders shouldn't have problem hoarding
✅ Search function is extremely useful
✅ Fast regen outside combat
✅ Buffs are automatically activated (this is a pretty big QOL I've seen in a game like this)
✅ Extremely high replayability value
✅ Still getting updated even after all these years

❌ No manual save option. This highly discourages you to tinker with new builds or trying out new things
❌ Save points are too far in the game
❌ When you die, you directly respawn all the way in town. This makes it extremely painful to go back to your current position
❌ When using a controller and a melee weapon, your character does stationary attack and does not go to attack the target enemy. Titan Quest does this way better as your character automatically moves to attack the targeted enemy
❌ Enemy boss can sometimes automatically restore to full HP. I found this to be extremely annoying
❌ Rare materials that are needed for crafting powerful relics have hopelessly low drop rate
❌ When playing at odd resolution like at 1600x900, game repeatedly says on startup that 'controller is not supported' at this resolution even though it does
❌ Location markers are not shown until at a certain distance
❌ Healing values are not shown

Gameplay system shares a lot of similarities with Titan Quest. I'd recommend playing that first.
