It's less "old" looking Runescape - sorta. There are many differences but it feels so very much like a Jagex game, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. If you ever enjoyed Runescape, I think you'll probably like this as well. It runs on a potato, looks better, has the same camera style, it's the same folks and the community begged for this - they are delivering in spades.

Having been spoiled by open world titles from Bethesda and others, it took me a minute to get into this game but once I did, I really enjoyed it. There are some people who say the story was weak, and maybe it was but it wasn't bad either. To be honest, it the way the planets and areas of each planet are semi-open, it very much reminded me of my original experience in K.O.T.O.R. and that is a good thing. My only wish is that it was longer, I spent less than 30 hours in the game, and though I botched a few quests that couldn't be redone and skipped some side quests, I also spent a fair amount of time f-ing around here and there and back tracking, yet my save was still only around 24 hours or so. If you can get a "GOTY" type version with all the DLC and really spend time talking to everyone im sure you could get 30+ out of it. Overall, it's actually a good RPG, it feels like an early 00s RPG just with better tech, more modernized, and I mean that as a compliment - other than the length. At a discount though, it's definitely worth picking up. I may even play it again soon.

Very fun Roguelite FPS. You play as random prisoners sent to scavenge derelict space ships, and when you die you're replaced. Your replacement keeps upgrades built by their predecessor however, so it's not entirely a roguelike since you're still moving toward an overall objective. If you use too much ammo or burn through all of a certain weapon you can find yourself without much choice but to die so your replacement comes in with their "care package" of starter ammo so you can keep trying. It's pulled my attention away from 2 games that I've sunk 200 hours into very recently if htat tells you anything.

Would I recommend you grab this game expecting a fully finished product? No. Would I recommend you grab it and give it a look, try it out, and keep tabs on it as the developer is in fact active, is in the middle of fully re-writing the entire game, pushes regular (if "slow") updates, and is crafting a genuinely fun little zombie survival game that will grow with time? Absolutely. Even with what little there is in the game at this time, I still find myself having played over 50 hours so far (some offline so the time didn't register for my playtime count) and I have greatly enjoyed it. Plus, it's free (edit: not free, but cheap). I have no idea what the dev plans price-wise down the road, but it's *cheap right now and imho worth it, even in a very alpha state. (edited to say cheap, it is not free)

This is an incredible game! I can't even begin to explain how good this is. It's beautiful, the cat is adorable, and it is just a nice break from literally everything else. There are some difficult spots but overall not that hard, just a great story.

Do I recommend this game: yes.

Do I recommend this game for people who get easily upset at defeat, disappointed at a lack of tangible progress, or infuriated at stupid deaths they FEEl could have been prevented but just couldn't see coming? No...

But also, yes.

First of all, the audio in this game is important and exquisite. Guns don't just make bang noises, they feel real. Every bullet feels like the powerful shot that it is, and this is because neither you nor the bad guys are bullet sponges like Call of Garbage: We Destroyed a Classic.

Graphically it looks good, it achieves an immersive realism without distracting you with ridiculous pretties nor ♥♥♥♥♥♥ textures, though it really lands a realistic feeling. You're not so much clearing a level as much as tactically making your way through the living room of a villa, etc.

You. Will. Lose.

Doesn't matter how good you are, your skills have been honed in bullet sponge games. It takes 1, maybe 2 good shots to end you. You're not carrying 2 assault rifles and 1,000 rounds apiece either, it's a fairly realistic SWAT load out, and you will quickly find you are a mere mortal.

If all of this sounds good then definitely buy it, it's a solid game and I've had fun with it. Multiplayer with friends makes it even better because you can go to voice chat and communicate with (hopefully) intelligent humans instead of giving orders to bots who, though their AI is good, they're still bots. It feels like old school Ghost Recon giving them orders with keys, mp is much better.

Lastly, and I think this is pretty important, this is a massive game. Current install size is 90+ gb and as they update and add possibly new maps or whatever that size will grow a bit. It's worth every kilobyte though.

This is one of the best First Person Shooters ever made. Loot works very much like battle royale games in that you open the inventory of the downed person and transfer what you want back and forth - I suspect they originally stole it from STALKER. Prior to STALKER a downed enemy just shat weapons or whatever on the ground for you to pick up. There are no RPG stats, just better equipment, and the best part of that is that the equipment matters.A soft target is a soft target but some aren't as soft as others, and they know it. A bandit wearing a leather duster will keep there distance unless you act skittish and stay back waiting for them. You do that with military or other more heavily armed and armored types and they will push straight to your hiding spot.

The story is decent if you care about it, otherwise you can ignore it and just talk to a few people when safe and follow mission points on the map, and at times it is f***ing unforgiving. Guns don't have pixel perfect accuracy for starters. You use the starting pistol at any range beyond about 50 feet and you're never going to hit ♥♥♥♥. You spray and pray and you'll never hit ♥♥♥♥. You take your time and aim, and you're going to miss some because every gun in the game is old soviet hardware (and some made up) that has been through the wringer already. Groupings aren't always the tightest, but if you take your time and learn the ones you have, then head shots still drop most like flies, once you get some decent hardware.

You'll see some goofy mutant critters in the wild a bit, nothing crazy.
Til it gets weird.

If you've never played STALKER, I highly recommend it. While the series is very similar in theme to the Metro series, this is due largely to the fact that their source material, or the original inspiration, is the same - the 1979 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. movie by Andrei Tarkovsky.

Even at its age the game holds up really well imo, and you should absolutely get it.

Ubishart is pretty much crap. You HAVE to make a Ubishart Connect account to play the game, which is a senseless and neddless requirement. Then, once you're in the game your IN GAME friendslist goes through Ubishart Cumneck again. But between those two, you'll find CONSTANT Ubishart Cumneck notifications RIGHT in fornt of your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ eyes every few seconds. Right where you need a clear field of view. You can tell it to go away just to see it again in a few seconds. To disable it you have to dig through the menu for 20 minutes, reading every last tooltip and description to figure out how to disable it, at which point you've practically disabled the in-game portion of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Cumneck and now have to either hit up the website or install the trash app to put someone on your friends list just to play together. if you can get around the fact Ubishart hates you and doesnt want you to enjoy the game, I guess it's ok.

Recent modernizations have made the game fun again. If you've never played it, you should pick it up. It's fantastic pre-COD/Halo shooter that defined what it means to have a story in an FPS.

This and Dishonored 2 are absolute perfection. Everything a video game is supposed to be.
