Wanted an escape room experience, got an escape room experience. Had fun with a friend and happy with the game. First playthrough completed in 2.4 hours with no issues, I'll try again later as the other character.

I had a great time with this game.

On the first screen it warns you that it's autosaves only, you can't make saves whenever you want. This combined with the fact that you can make the wrong conclusions in investigations led me to a bit of analysis paralysis. It turns out that wasn't a big deal, restarting and immediately giving the conclusions to the investigations you know the correct answer to was quick. I did a few playthroughs back to back. My first one I very thoroughly scoured for clues (and had a great time!), the next ones I zoomed through.

Loved the setting and theme and art and puzzles. Easy recommend from me.

PS: There's one place where you can get stuck in the geometry. In the discord they mention a fix is done but hasn't been uploaded to steam as of this writing. The workaround is to unstuck yourself using the fast travel system. [EDIT: The bug was fixed in version 1.0.5, new buyers shouldn't run into it.]

Campaign co-op is a blast. 4 players, configurable enemy health multiplier, and campaign progress is maintained for each player. Haven't had this much fun in a multiplayer shooter since Serious Sam. Turn on "always sprint" and enjoy the chaos.

I have two 2080 video cards in NVLink. The game hitches terribly to the point I thought that motion tracking was broken. No issue in other VR games. Got motion sick when it started dropping frames when I was turning my head. After some troubleshooting and trying different SLI profiles I gave up.

I might retry it after a patch.

If there's a bunny on a walking path and you pick up the walking path you can carry the bunny along. 11/10 very happy to pet bunnies.

I preordered this on Green Man Gaming back in July. I would refund it if I could. The Denuvo DRM means that even third party patches won't be able to fix my video issues for a while.

Launched it today eager to play with friends, and although it says it supports 3440x1440 it pillarboxes it with giant black bars at both sides. 3440x1440 fullscreen with the latest driver on a 1080 lags even with these huge black boxes it doesn't need to render. [Edit: See footnote for graphic lag.]

Gamepad support is about what you'd expect from five years ago. If you have an Xbox controller you can play as long as you don't want to remap keys. Check the steam forum for issues people have with steam controllers.

I couldn't even quit the game during tutorial or hunt because I guess it was designed so that you could hit the playstation button to exit? I had to end task with Task Manager.

Wait until it's been patched, I'll update the review when I can play. Games that don't support gamepads or 21:9 should have warning labels on steam just like games that don't work in Windows 10.

Edit 1: The default for the 1080 is "highest" graphics settings, which I found to drop below 60 frames during expedition. Reducing the Volumetric Lighting quality to medium fixed that. I didn't have to reduce any other setting from highest.

Short but sweet and well worth it. Wonderful aesthetic and soundtrack. The daily deal is a steal. I'm happy with what I got for $15, and I'm on my second playthrough.

DO NOT BUY. Not even at 75% off. I had lots of texture issues. The friend I bought it for to play multiplayer with had install issues. No communication with other players in multi, not even text. The studio is toast so no patches. I wish I could get a refund.

Play Dungeons and Dragons Online instead.
