The game invites you to dive in a sci-fi world of mecha ninjas with a beautiful art style and colorful high definition ilustrations. The character design is pretty cool each character packed with personality and style. The level design is great and very varied, each with a unique feature and final boss with its own design and mechanics.

A very unique Cute em up from Brasil!

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews! 🎾

Sky Racket is a fantastic arcade style shoot ’em up with a unique twist. Like Cyber Blocker (which I also reviewed), it takes inspiration from brick breaker / Arkanoid mechanics, but with a completely different and unique execution. Fresh, creative and full of charm, it brings innovative ideas to the genre. Challenging yet fair, it’s perfect for both newcomers and shmup veterans.

Double Dash Studios did an excellent job on the artwork. From the stunningly animated intro to the adorable character designs, a wide variety of quirky enemies, and massive bosses with unique attacks and patterns, everything feels vibrant and full of personality. The OST is equally awesome, perfectly suits the game’s colorful style, making every stage even more enjoyable.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3534726785
Overall... Sky Racket is a must have if you are a shmup enjoyer. It’s creative, fun, and full of charm, an absolute hidden gem on steam. I truly hope more people support the developer by buying the game or at least adding it to their wishlist, it absolutely deserves it!

A faithful sequel to HunterX.

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews!

I want to talk about another game that deserves way more recognition: HunterX code name T. This underrated Metroidvania on Steam kept me glued to my chair for 6 straight hours, pulling off parries, exploring its world, meeting cute female characters, and facing tough enemies and bosses. The gameplay feels great, faithful to the original HunterX game, with challenging enemies and a lot of exploring, the pacing of upgrading your character platforming skills feel great and super saitsfying.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3531599945
You can get a wide variety of weapons, from a cool katana and greatswords to axes and halberds. It has a soul-like system where you farm karma to upgrade basic stats, plus a big skill tree with passive and active abilities to unlock. The level design is great, with backtracking that never feels tedious and some fun puzzle rooms along the way. If you die carrying a lot of karma, don’t die again before getting it back or you’ll lose it forever.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3531601194
I also played the first game in the series, and I reviewed it on my curator and community page if you want to check it out!

HunterX code name T is a must play for Metroidvania fans. Its gameplay is incredibly fun, parrying and defeating bosses without taking damage feels amazing. It may not aim to be a visual masterpiece, but it delivers lovely character and level designs. For its mechanics, playtime, and price, I consider it a must buy. If you love the genre and want to support this small but talented team, don’t forget to add it to your wishlist!

Living the Elon Musk dream, or may I say nightmare?

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews!

Mars 2120 is a fun and engaging 2.5D Metroidvania developed in Brazil by QUByte Interactive. It features clever level design, interesting puzzles, and a solid elemental ability system. The movement feels smooth and the platforming is extremely satisfying, with both close and ranged combat. You’ll face alien monsters, deadly robots, and giant bosses with cool designs and unique patterns. The game also plays with camera perspectives to make platforming more dynamic and enjoyable.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3521293417
Considering its price during Steam sales, the love and care put into the game by the small but talented dev team, and the good time I had playing it, I’d say it’s a solid pick. Definitely worth adding to your wishlist, and if you're a fan of the genre, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem on the Steam store. For me, the game had me from the opening animation!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3521292767
It’s also worth mentioning that both English and Spanish translations are great and include full voice acting, so everyone can enjoy the game 100%.
In short, Mars 2120 is a very enjoyable 2.5D Metroidvania with a solid ability system, smart puzzles, and satisfying platforming. I’m really enjoying it so far!

Early Access Review
God Hand's spiritual successor?

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3516944850
Highly inspired by good old PS2 games like God Hand, Spirit x Strike is a fantastic and fast-paced game, packed with beat ‘em up arcade action, delivered by the incredibly talented solo developer from China, Maicha Studio. The game offers a wide variety of badass martial arts combinations, with endless iconic moves.
Switching from defense to offense, dodging, blocking, parrying, and knocking down everyone makes you feel powerful and it's damn satisfying!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3516942060
Spirit x Strike is a game where you learn with every strike. It’s challenging, you need to read the enemies and adjust your timing to chain devastating combos and finish the tough ones with cool, badass, iconic moves. It’s super fun to take down the enemies… but the bosses? They’ll make you suffer at first, there is a hot blondie that will make you cry for a bit, don't worry It's all about timing.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3516943464
In conclusion, Spirit x Strike delivers stylish, fast paced action with depth and personality. If you love beat em ups, God Hand, chinese martial arts or feeling unstoppable, this one is a must play masterpiece. I encourage everyone to add the game to their wishlist and support the developer. I’m sure Mikami is already smiling with this one. And remember that it’s still in Early Access! your feedback is very important for the developer!

Beautiful sprites, lovable characters, same kill count..

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews!

The Legend of Dark Witch is a super fun 2D run n gun platformer that really took me by surprise. With cute anime style, chibi sprites and a wide cast of unique and lovable characters, the game mixes charm with a solid challenge. The blocking system feels tight and satisfying once you get the hang of it, and boss fights are both adorable and very intense, each with their own attack patterns and weaknesses.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3506683607
The game features an ingame upgrade system... by defeating enemies, you boost your character’s speed, attack power, and shot type. There’s also a shop where you can spend points on permanent upgrades. The first few boss battles might feel tough, but once you master the block timing, the game becomes incredibly addictive and rewarding.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3506685921
In conclusion, this is a super fun, classic style run n gun with lovely visuals, responsive controls, and satisfying platforming. Considering its low price and overall quality, it’s an easy recommendation. Plus, it’s just the first in a full series of four games! I have reviewed Brave Dungeon in the past and I can tell you, the dev never lets me down, highly recommended!

When less is more.

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews!

Awita: Journey of Hope is a charming metroidvania full of heart, with beautiful pixelart and smooth platforming mechanics. The gameplay feels great, and the OST is excellent. It’s a short adventure of about 4 to 5 hours, but it offers a very satisfying experience. It clearly shows the amazing talent of its young solo dev.
I can’t wait to see his future projects!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3502671821
I really appreciate the hard work put into the level and character design, the environments are beautiful, the buildings and interiors are very detailed, and the paths are filled with interesting fantasy enemies and villagers that bring the world to life. Awita, our heroine, is a very lovable character. Her moveset is cool, her animations are polished, and the platforming mechanics make jumping and running around really fun.
It’s really hard to get bored, even after hours of gameplay.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3502676540
You should definitely add this game to your wishlist. If you're looking for something cool during this June Steam sale, grab your copy of Awita! I had been waiting for it for a long time, and after playing it, I can’t recommend it enough.
Support the dev and buy the game!

The Double Dragon arcade game spiritual successor is finally on steam!

Check this fantastic game and more on Hardcore Reviews!

Rage of the Dragons NEO is a 2D tag-team fighting game originally developed by SNK and Evoga for the Neo-Geo arcade system in 2002. It was meant to be a direct sequel to the 1995 Double Dragon arcade game. While they couldn’t get the official license, the team released it anyway as a tribute to the series, with small changes, like renaming Billy and Jimmy Lee to Billy and Jimmy Lewis. The game is super fun and addictive, with fresh, accessible mechanics, awesome character designs, smooth movesets, SNK style artwork, and a great soundtrack.

QUByte Interactive has done it again, I can't say enough good things about this Brazilian company. This time, they bring us the first official home release of Rage of the Dragons NEO, and it’s what I consider the definitive version. It includes modern, stylish menus, arcade mode with save and quick settings, leaderboards, local versus, online play with ranking, custom lobbies, rollback netcode, replays, training, challenges, Steam achievements, and full native support for both Windows and Linux.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3489957418
I'm really excited about QUByte’s future releases. This company has earned my trust and support, and I hope they keep surprising the community with more great ports!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3489957801
In conclusion, Rage of the Dragons NEO is an excellent and highly recommended port, full of quality of life upgrades. It brings back a fantastic 2D fighting game at a budget price... perfect for casual players, but also a must-buy for fans of the genre or anyone looking for a different, challenging, and addictive fighting game!.

A unique medieval adventure of grind and progress!..

Medieval Dynasty is a fantastic survival and village management game set in a beautiful and immersive open world. You have to build your own settlement from scratch, farming, hunting, crafting, and managing your own village. The villages are full of NPCs you can interact with in many ways, the wild is packed with animals of all kinds and seasonal changes, each with their own challenges makes the world feels alive.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3484406424
In terms of mechanics, it starts off very intuitive and feels just like any other survival game you've played. But soon you'll need to manage your villagers... fulfill their needs, and take advantage of them. If at any point you feel overwhelmed, you can always check Steam... there are many helpful guides created by the community to help you through the game.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3484405924
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Dynasty games!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3484406778
In conclusion, I highly recommend it, I still need to play the game for a while, but so far It's a very unique medieval experience for both single player and co-op, with great optimization, very polished and fun. It's a must have for every fan of survival and management games.
