Best mod i've seen for half-life 2 fully supported as a game. Not gonna complain because it makes a few graphics adjustments and it's free, but you could do more. 9.0/10

- It just needs more graphic attention

I can't really fully review this game because it is "REALLY EARLY ACCESS"

Pros:
- Good Controls
- Fun Concept
-Good Multiplayer support(If used propperly)
Cons:
- The game would be a lot better with Controller Support

The way Alien was ment to be.

First of all I don't know why game reviewer like IGN or Gamespot reviewed this so lowley.

Second, I got this game really cheap so I can't complain on pricing.

and third, what i think about this game? It's true to what alien has always been. It even goes a little further trying to feel like the original movie. A great step in gaming. The AI has a few issues here and there, but nothing major enough to annoy me. The games atmosphere is great, full of scares and spooks with music that really feel original.

Yo, this game still holds up, even in 2021; I wrote this review in 2014 and I'm updating it this November 28th, 2021

Best arkham Game. Happy it is being remastered for PS4, Xbox One, And PC! Whatever system you own, this is the best title to start with.

EDIT: I made this review before the game got put up on consoles. Unfortunately, the remaster was very underwhelming and was only ported to PS4 and XBOX and not PC. Overall, don't even buy the remaster (grahical upgrade was not that good) and save your money for just the original (Which is cheaper and still looks pretty good even to this day).

I can say without playing sim city that this is one of the most accurate city sims out there

pros:
- it's visually appealing
- it comes at half the price of sim city!
- Frame rates are low, but managable
- you can point out individual things like people, animals, and cars and check stats or change stats
- Controls are easy
- allows for steam community creations
- the developers are bug fixing the game regularly

cons:
- directions are a bit vague
- lack of explanation for each problem
- no city disasters like floods or tornados
- some situations are played out to easily

I would give it a solid 8.7

I think it would be a good tool for real city builders!

My thoughts
has potential, the central idea of what makes this game fun is solid, but it need more diversity in maps, it needs to show the counted votes for maps and gamemodes, it needs to have mic chat, and mic team chat, more control options, more controller control options, resoloution fixes, and it needs something to draw more players.

Overall, the content it curently has for it's release is very good for starters, keep up the good work!

-More keybaord/controller Options
-Fix reseloution bugs
-Vote counts for gamemodes/maps

Reccommended for those who want games balanced by pure skill!

True to the series*

This game is true to what half life has always been and will always be.

Pros:
-Graphics
-Gameplay
-Keyboard Layout
-Preformance(most fot he time)
-Nicely revived story(Setting, Characters, Voices, etc)

Cons:
- Framerate drops to 15 FPS in heated battles
- Audio cutouts/hearing voices and effects
*NOTE: this is still early access so it's likely that performance bugs listed will be taken out*

Overall*

It is true to the Half-life franchise and wouldn't select any other game to replace the original than this game.

Now that the game is out fully, I can totally give this game, hands down, a 9.2/10. I really loved it when it before it came out on steam, I loved it when It came to steam in Early Access, now that it's out of EA, I can truly recommend this game to anyone who has played the OG Half-Life or Just any other players looking to get into the series and here is a great start!

Most motivating and Balanced FPS I played this year. If you are tied of un-balenced multiplayer in general, this is your salvation! 9.5/10 - I have to pay for the guns with real money unfortunatley, but it's motivating.

EDIT* AVOID THIS PEICE OF TRASH NOW. It was good then, it's now terrible fortnite trash.

**Review Update 2025-01-07**

I wanted to hold out on updating my review to see how things were going to play out with Counter-Strike Global Offensive being replaced with Counter Strike 2.

I know I am late to the party, but the TL;DR is I am really frustrated Valve replaced CS:GO with CS2. Sure, I left a bad review about it when the game was CS:GO, but now that that game is gone (Forcefully taken against my will and/or consent) I am still leaving a negative review not because Counter Strike 2 is bad, but because Valve has violated their own philosophy and their obligation to gamers by allowing them to keep their products. I am also frustrated that I am no longer able to play the maps I made 10 years ago because Valve has stolen my purchased property.

I don't want to be that guy saying "If purchasing is not owning, then piracy isn't stealing" but you guys are really making it look like that should be a reality.

I paid $20 CAD for this game by the way. You stole from me Valve.

Great game! I got dark souls 2 a year ago and played that for a bit, but never finished. so I decided to get this one to continue the story from the beginning. This game has a lot of problems though, but I'll tell you how to fix this

Controller fix:
This part is easy. Using Windows 7/8/8.1/10, go to device manager and open the human interface tab in the list of devices. Now, turn off all compliant HID controllers(There may be more than one) and your good to go. simple.

Fix graphics/framerate
Many people suggest going to the Nexus site for this mod fix, but I have a better source( A more secure source). Go to the site http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix

now, put this in your steam folders and make *SURE* to*BISABLE* the cloud sync properties in your game so the fix doesn't get erased, this file *Must* be put in the data file *OR* just somewhere where the executable is. Than follow the files instructions on how to unlock framerate and boost the game to 1080p. this script is called DSfix.
