Good game if you enjoy dungeon crawls or rogue likes; has a bit of a deckbuilding game feel but the deck is your Backpack that expands as you level up. Doesn't feel too addictive either, but that's subjective to each player.

Important features to note:
+Can be played one handed (mouse covers everything) However, I'd like to see a clickable button for rotating items and accessing the context menu (currently limited to Right click). Then it could be a one button game, which I think is important for accessibility users. Regardless, It's nice to have a free hand to smoke/drink/pet a cat with. However, the game also has controller options of course.

+It's not timed nor time intensive. Actions are turn based, exploration waits on your commands. Can be walked away from and still be okay to play coming back. Runs are usually done within 30 minutes or less.

+Lots of build variety - There's multiple projectile styles, Melee variates with buffs and powers, Magic is odd with a networked system based on item conduits (mana is an expendable)

I WOULD like to see them add quick time events or puzzles to the dungeon (Indiana Jones style events would be fitting.) Right now, the special events are mostly gambling and multiple choice options. DLC could remedy that if the devs are feeling feisty.

Either way, not a bad way to spend 10-15 bucks, they did a good job. The music is a bit of an earbug tho; reminiscent of SNES melodies (the whole game is basically SNES style) which the loops get repetitive QUICKLY. Would like to have more music tracks so i don't have to mute it.

So I hadn't played this since the year it came out, and it was pretty good then, though the menus and loot boxes were a pain to slog through. Darktide comes out recently and had me wanting to try this one again before I think about purchasing Darktide (which looked like it still needed work anyways.)

ANd just...WOW. The game is MUCH better than when it came out. The loot box tally at the end of missions can be sped up now, they've added challenges and quests to do alongside the main missions, the menus are a HELLUVA lot nicer to get through, the AI for the bots is MUCH better (and you can issue them commands!) and my favorite part....They added a rogue like mode where you gain perks/boons/weapons on a large expedition campaign that is like having multiple missions tied together. The weapon/loot progression of the main campaigns become a bore once you regularly get the max power'd items in lootboxes for weapons you don't want anyways. Fun progression until you hit that point though.

The new mode, chaos wastes, is an arcade version of this Left4Dead formula that is fun as hell for me and starts everyone out at the default power level for weapons, with no trinkets, which evens the playing field of old and new players. Only difference is the experience levels of the characters themselves still being the same, which only grant special Talents every 5 levels (max is lvl 35, atm.) Each expedition is randomized and teams vote for the next area on the map to travel to, similar way to other roguelikes like Peglin/Slay The Spire/Inscryption.

And I've not even checked out the modded realm yet, still trying to get through all of the chaos wastes.

So yeah, this game is worth trying out if you want a team based game ala Left4Dead/Deep Rock Galactic with satisfying evisceration.

Fair warning though: The Banter between the characters, though very well acted for Voice actors (Saltspyre and Bardin are fantastic), REALLY takes it toll after a while. And you cannot turn it off, ever. Kerillian's VA does a good job, but Kerillian is tiringly oversnarky.

I'd love to see this kind of game gain the melee control of other Melee FPS's like Mordhau/Chivalry in future iterations.

Amazing sh1tpost of a game. Thought the music sounded like it was from LISA, then i see Widdly2Diddly in the credits, validating my guess.

Worth a few bucks, and also worth gifting to a friend with zero explanation.

The game is delightfully weird and actually fun to play. The movement speeds take a sec to get used to (basically a weird dodge that doubles as a hurdle button and a semi-run)

Worth the money for the novelty and experience alone.

Early Access Review
Game is great as it is in Early access, outside of some minor polish (like save files). Not a big deal since most playthroughs last less than 50 minutes

Definitely check out the modpacks posted on World of Horror's discord as they adds quite a bit of content and aren't difficult to install. Hopefully Steam workshop integration will come in the future, but for now its a simple copy/paste of .ito files.

Game can be played one handed with a mouse and is turn based.

One handed game
Casual paced and can pause on command
RPG loot elements mixed with tile placement to increase stats
-Fantastic- dark fantasy chiptune
Roguelite town for permanent upgrades

Good game to vegg out to without being too involved

A fantastic sh1tposting take on idle games. I normally don't play this genre, as they tend to just be time wasters, but this one caught my eye for its odd style and absurdities on the genre itself. Highly recommend for those who don't play idle games much or enjoy an Absurdist take on the genre.

For an example of gameplay: I'm current at a stage where i just acquired a new operating system, Wandoos 98, and I have yet to defeat Gordon Ramsay. I've barely managed to beat the bosses that were manifestations of each day of the week (From Monday to Sunday), including when the day of Sunday turned into an out of place Ice Cream sundae that had been sent to another dimension.

And I still feel like I'm just at the beginning of this game.

Also, leaving a positive review for the kitty in game.

Objectives in mining instances with Left 4 dead style elements on a sci fi backdrop with a John Carpenter themed Synth score. Rather fun, nice gameplay loop and easy to pickup. The dwarves are corny but fun.

I'm curious if they are going to expand this universe, with other space-fantasy combos (are there space elves?)

A beautiful absurdity to relax to.

It's like Crazy Taxi meets Snake.

This was god awful. I wanted to stick with it, I really did, but jesus...This game is cheesy as all hell.

The scenes are long and drawn out, the dialogue is bland at best, relying on the accents to carry the character (which are also awkward as hell) and I was not in the slightest bit intrigued or drawn into the plot.

The transition from each scene looked like it could have been interesting, but the exposition was so drawn out with a soundtrack from something I'd expect on the Lifetime channel. The one action sequence I saw was amusing but not enough for me to endure the rest of the problems. It felt like an anime for 10 year olds thats trying too hard without offering any substance.

First game I ever wanted to get a refund for on Steam. And it was at half price too.
