I had the original on consoles and is a bit better than I remember now that I have all the "extra" content with it. Here is my list of pros and cons.

Pros
-Bigger character selection
-good ost
-more weapons
-story is fine
-Gauntlet mode is fine
-battlefield editor is a nice start.
-mounts can still strafe

Cons
-Crashes on occasion
-AI by default is not aggressive enough. I much preferred the DW2-3 aggression.
-Gate captains (now base) do not show up as its on icon on the map. You can also no longer clear maps as there is one checkpoint always left open and the trash that pours out of it takes your checkpoints.
-AI dies way too quick off screen regardless of difficulty (failed a stage a few times in under a minute.)
-No way to gauge morale
-battlefield editor is barebones (Tried looking for mods no luck yet.)
-long load times for an in battle cutscene
-arbitrary limit of 8 weapons a character
-No English voice acting

Overall though still a fun game, would recommend during the next sale.

Fun just see notes below.
I do like how survivalist got some buffs added in and Medic's smg got a well needed boost. Spillway is a fun map and the new weapons, I do not have a problem with. In general some things I would like addressed.
Survivalist should have fast reload on all weapons rather than it being a perk. In fact I think survivalist should be able to just any of the available perks to really customize the class. Next the bloat hitscan vomit and hitboxes need an overhaul. The bloat for whatever reason gets an invisible wall more or less during some of its animations preventing you from landing any melee attack. Moving on to the zed armor/shield mechanics. This is more so with the abomination/ king flesh pound but during later endless waves, their health bars will scale appropriately while the armor or shields go way overboard. It turns them more or less into sponges even on solo. Tier 5 weapons, although I like the concept, feel rather under powered in comparison to upgrading lower tiered weapons for all classes. Speaking of under powered, I would like to make a request to stop nerfing weapons especially shortly after a new one comes out. It kind of sucks the fun out of it and think why bother even using it. Insult players needs to make a comeback, even if it is just copy and paste of the first game. Every mutator should also be white listed as this is a PvE game so who cares? Finally my biggest gripe of all is the removal of "lawnmowering" with melee weapons. I have no idea who asked for this, but it removed a rather fun mechanic for melee weapons and I found it to be a huge disappointment. All in all still a fun game just needs some tweaks.
