This game is way to short for what you get and you can't put items where you want, some items have specific areas they have to be placed.

This is a bad game where devs make arbitrary changes and don't listen to their player base.
Problems have existed for 5 years. Play with a VPN as the game is not secure and full of hackers.

Not a very good puzzle game, and if you mess up 30 turns into a map due to the poor directional/camera controls then you have to do the same all over again.

This is only a negative review when comparing it to its predecessor.
It feels less balanced in a lot of regards to the point of certain things being unenjoyable and a slog.
Dwelling has too many higher health enemies, both of which have I-frames at points.
Spelunky HD punished you for your mistakes. Spelunky 2 likes to punish you through no fault of your own.
Poorer level design softlocking you more often.
More insta kill things, (oh there was a bear trap you saw 3 pixels of because it was hiding behind foreground scenery)
Fire is an immediate death sentence if you have any backpack.
If I wasn't comparing to spelunky HD it would be a positive review but for this to follow HD just seems less fun.

Fun game, but not worth the price.
And too many annoying things for me to keep playing.
After getting eliminated you have to watch an unskippable part where it shows how much currency you won and then your character cheers. This becomes old immediately. If you want to just get in a match.

When searching for a match there are no audio cues that match has not been found.
So while waiting you might be checking your phone etc, unaware that you haven't found a game.

Menu is too slow navigating.
And the marketplace is such a stupid timed thing.

Team games sap the fun too. You did well in a 2 races and a team match but still are eliminated.

Too few courses etc for what seems like it would be very easy to implement lots of maps.

Not overly complex or enjoyable, if there was a meh rating, it would get that

Unskippable(can speed up, but still takes too long.) cutscenes all to often. A few minutes of gameplay followed by a few mins of pointless cutscenes.
Seems very simple platformer with shooting.

Hard to find this game enjoyable.

Much better in earlier builds, much less stable now, not worth the money

GLORY TO ARSTOTZKA

Will definitely fill that Castlevania shaped hole in your heart, with free dlc on the horizon.
EDIT: Not so sure about that dlc coming at this point.
