I came from the CoD4 scene, and this is a worthy follow up if you are into competitive gaming. Valve updates it regurarely and makes sure the community's voice is heard (eventually). With the different game modes like: DM, Casual, Demolition and etc. you can easily get the hang of the game. When you're finally ready to put youself to the test, try Match Making.

Which is more fun with friends, but if you solo queue it is still very enjoyable (if you have nice teammates). The ELO system works and how more effort you put in being a better gamer, the higher your skill level becomes.
When you think you can get to the big leagues, try ESEA, FaceIT pugs and get more competitive, find a team and maybe even attend LAN's in the future.

Just for the competitive scene, I love this game 9/10
