It's Rome Total War with much more graphical polish and many, many QOL and UI/UX fixes and improvements. In saying that, though, many old QOL problems unfortunately persist, like unit pathing. Definitely nostalgia-bait for any more modern TW fans but it delivers the goods it promises. It also has great mods already and I'm sure many more will come!

Is it flawless, no. Is it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome? Yeah, it is! Finally a fantastically executed game with a wonderful art direction and great graphics while staying very playable instead of a total mess like so many other games these days. No regrets about dropping full price at $40.

Ten times more variety than any other total war game, both in units and battle and campaign mechanics. I still haven't even played many factions/LLs at 540 hours.

Breath of the Wild had a baby with Terraria and it's a beautiful baby

Still came out before Star Citizen or even Squadron 42...
